A chat with Julieta Côva Checchia, Campinas-SP


“A great man and teacher of charity” is the title of our editorial, by life and work of Bezerra de Menezes. One of most important figures in Spiritism in Brazil which is also focus on the special of the current edition. 

“The experience in CEAK – Campinas, gave me the truth vision of Spiritism.” That sentence was said by Julieta Côva Checcia, current coordinator advisor of Studies and Doctrinal Disclosure of Allan Kardec’s Spirit Centre, Campinas (SP). In a given interview to Orson Peter Carrara, she talks about the work done by the known and respectable institution of Campinas. The interview is one of the highlights of this number issue. 

Another spot authored by José Sola Gomes is the final part of the Special “Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes: the man the missionary”, it’s about life and work of the known spiritual benefactor, surnamed Doctor of the Poor, who Brazilians Spirits love and admired. 

Repeting with success reached previous years, it happened on October from 15th to 18th, one more Fraternal Meeting with Divaldo Franco, at the Iberostar Hotel Praia do Forte, Bahia. Paulo Salerno prepared about the event a special which also constitutes one of the highlights of the current edition. 

In a day like today – November 1st – disembodied in 1918, at the 38, Eurípedes Barsanulfo. Educator and medium, Barsanulfo was one of the representative of Spiritism in the country. He is responsible for the first spirit school in Brazil, Allan Kardec School, which provided free education to thousands of poor and orphans.
