A new era began with Jesus

Prophets of the Ancient History Period foretold the coming of Messiah. The Jewish people anxiously awaited Him, who could finally free them from the dominion of Rome. However, Jesus came, and He was not at all accepted by the Israelites.

As Emmanuel said, the priests did not expect Jesus to come to Earth on the darkest hour of the night. They expected that Christ should have arrived in the magnificent car of His divine glory and give Israel the highest command to guide the other people of the planet.

There was, however, who recognized Him as the Christ foretold by the prophets of the Ancient Period, even though He humbly was born in the midst of the animals in a crib and as a son of a simple carpenter.

Among those who recognized Him, we must mention those who would later become his disciples, apostles and followers, who could hear from Jesus himself, on several occasions that He was by the Father, as shown in these passages:

• "Whoever receives me, receives Him who sent me" (Luke 9:48).

• "He who despises me, despises Him that sent me" (Luke 10:16).

• "He who receives me receives not me, but receives Him who sent me" (Mark 9:37).

• "I'm still with you for a little while and I then I'll go to Him who sent me" (John 8:42).

Jesus is not God, but He was sent by His Father to Earth

It is very clear that Jesus spoke in His Father's name and was by Him sent to Earth. This fact shoes the existing duality and excludes equality between them, because the one that is sent is perforce subordinated to the one who sends Him. This detail deserves to be pondered by all who think that Jesus and God are the same person, a mistake that is also questioned by the following quote:

• "If you loved me, you would rejoice because I am going to my Father, because my Father is greater than I am" (John 14:28.).

• "I have not spoken for myself. My Father, who sent me, is the one who taught me by His commandment, what I should say and how I should speak, and I know that His commandment is eternal life. Therefore, what I say is according to what my Father has commanded me to say" (John 24:49 and 50).

The Apostles, of course, strongly believed that Jesus was the awaited Messiah. This can be easily proved by the numerous quotes from the Acts:

• "The whole House of Israel is to know with absolute certainty that God made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ" (Acts 2:33 to 36).

• "Moses said unto our fathers: The Lord your God will make, from among your brethren, a prophet like me. Listen to what He says. The one who does not listen to Him will be destroyed from among the people. It was mainly for you that God raised His Son, and sent Him to bless you" (Acts 3:22, 23 and 26).

• "It was Him that God raised by His right hand as Prince and Savior, to give Israel the grace of repentance and remission of sins" (Acts 5:29 to 31).

• "But Stephen, being full of the Holy Spirit and raising his eyes to heaven, saw the glory of God and Jesus, who was standing at the right hand of God" (Acts 7:55 to 58).

Before coming, Jesus sent to Earth a host of missionaries

It is not difficult to understand that the coming of Jesus among us involved intense work by all those Spirits called to share with Him His glorious mission. Each received a specific task, of devotion and love, in order to facilitate the coming to the lower planes of the Spiritual Governor of Earth.

First, Jesus sent valiant assistants, such as Aeschylus, Euripides, Herodotus and Thucydides, and finally, the extraordinary Socrates, among the Greeks. In China, Fo-Hi, Lao Tzu and Confucius; in Tibet, Buddha; in the Pentateuch, Moses; in the Qur'an, Muhammad, so that every people received at different times, instructors sent by the Master.

The Romans, whose splendor made it through multiple eras, seemed tormented by the most tenacious hidden enemies, which gradually undermined the Roman Empire's most solid foundations, plunging it into the corruption and its sown death. The coming of Christ was near and Rome, world headquarters, did not seem to figure it out.

The approach and the comforting presence of the Divine Master in the world was reason enough for all hearts to experience a new life, even though they ignored the divine source of those comforting vibrations.

The angelic entities of the system, were already working in the vicinity of Earth. Thus, several wide and very important arrangements were being put into practice. Instructors were chosen, as well as the immediate precursors, and the divine aids. Then, a single activity was seen close to our planet, and when Augustus reigned in the world. It was a night full of lights and wonderful stars. Divine harmonies sang a hymn of sublimated hopes in the hearts of men and nature.

An era of harmony preceded the advent of Jesus

Historians of the Roman Empire are always surprised by the strong contrasts of the glorious time of Augustus. Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian came to power under a series of happy events. With this determined and magnanimous young man a new era began.

The great empire, as if influenced by strange forces, rested in a wave of harmony and joy, after secular and dark wars. The glorious landscape of Rome never gathered so many brilliant minds, such as Virgil, Horace, Ovid, Sallust, Livy and Maecenas.

The reason for this surprise is due to the fact that many historians did not realize it was on that occasion that the world came to know the Gospel. They forgot that the noble Octavius was also a man and obviously could not know that in his reign a special group, accustomed to the work of Christ, was approaching the Earth in a deep vibration of love and beauty.

Now, instead of warlike Spirits, such as Hannibal or Alexander, other Spirits approached Rome, now dressed in the rags of fishermen to serve as an indestructible base of the eternal Messiah's teachings. They immersed in the planet fluids, those who would prepare the coming of Jesus, and those who would be the humble and immortal followers of His divine steps.

The fact is that with the arrival of Christ, the prophecies were fulfilled: Jesus was born and a new era started in this world. This arrival of Jesus is remembered by men, every year, on Christmas, as we will do again this week.
