Reflections on Civil War
in Syria

We had access to the report dated 30.09.2013 of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the purpose of the civil war that exists in Syria for over a year, in which, besides the thousands of victims, it is incalculable the number of missing persons and detainees.

The statement reproduced below, extracted from the ICRC report, is an example of the drama felt by our Syrian brothers:

"I know nothing from him" said Laila about her husband, who has disappeared in Aleppo for over a year. "I do not know even whether he is alive or dead. I cannot sleep at night thinking about him, hoping that he had found a roof to shelter, if he is still alive or that his body finds rest, if he is dead."

It tells rightly the report, that - according to the International Humanitarian Law - the parties involved in a conflict must take all possible steps to clarify what happened with the persons reported missing as a result of the conflict, providing their families all the information they have about their whereabouts. In order to allow the identification of the dead, the parties shall record all the information available before deciding what they will do with the corpses and, in the case of burial, it should be marked the location of the graves. With regard to persons arrested or kept in captivity, the parties should provide them the right to send news of a strictly personal nature to their families, wherever they are. "Without information about their loved ones, people carry an emotional burden too heavy," says the head of the ICRC delegation in Syria, Magne Barth. "The uncertainty they face adds to the deprivation and anguish and psychological distress."

An important part of the ICRC's work in Syria - in addition to the extensive assistance provided to people affected by conflict – it is to assist in restoring contact between loved ones and family members of which are separate. "We send regular requests to the Syrian authorities requesting information on the whereabouts of people who believe they are detained or disappeared. It is sent similar requests to armed opposition groups”, said Barth.

It is reproduced the above information to all who read this text might contribute with their prayers and vibes for peace so that the negotiation and understanding may put an end to this absurd civil war and incompatible with what is expected of a civilized world.

Although there have been a constant on this planet, wars were never true solution to problems that affect the world. The wounds that are opened take centuries to be healed and therefore there is nothing to justify their existence, especially when the conflict involves people who were born and live in the same country, as in the case of Syria.

It would be outstanding if the Syrian leadership and opponents have had access to that immortal say about the consequences of a war, information that we read in the issue 745 of The Spirits’ Book.

Here it is:

- What should be thought about those who beg the war to their advantage? "Great culprit is this and many lives will be needed to atone for the murders that he is responsible for, he will answer for all men whose death he has caused to satisfy his ambition."

Due to this information will hardly come to them, lets aim at least with the power of our thought, the spiritual guides of humanity , using the mechanisms of intuition, do with the awareness of their responsibility to awake them, so that Syria return to the path of peace and harmony.
