Text for reading

27. Jesus resurrects a girl - When Jesus told them these things, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshiped him, saying his daughter had just died, and beseeching him to come to your house, would impose her hand, she would live. Jesus followed. Arriving at the man's house, and saw the minstrels and the people in an uproar, Jesus ordered: "Come out, that girl is not dead but sleeping." The people laughing at him, and stood out, and Jesus went into the house, took her hand, and the girl stood up." The news soon spread throughout the country. On the way out there, the Master was followed by two blind men who cried out saying, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." Jesus asked them if they believed he could cure them. Before his answer, the Lord touched their eyes, saying, "Be it unto you according to your faith" - and their eyes were opened. Jesus asked them, then, that does not reveal to anyone, but as soon as they walked away, the ex-blind spread his fame throughout the land. (Matthew, 9:18 to 9:31.)

28. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few - Healed the blind, brought to Jesus a dumb man possessed. Once the demon was expelled, the man spoke again, and the multitudes marveled, saying he never saw such a thing in Israel. The Pharisees, however, countered by saying that Jesus cast out demons because he acted with the help of the prince of them. Jesus did not answer, but continued to work through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing diseases, and diseases of the people. One day, seeing the crowd that followed him, had great compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples: "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest. " (Matthew, 9:32 to 9:38.)

29. He who endures to the end will be saved - After several recommendations forward to his twelve disciples, Jesus warned them about the hardships and vicissitudes that would be achieved if the fulfillment of its mission, referring to the beatings they would apply in their synagogues. "But when they deliver you - the Master advised - do not be anxious how or what ye shall speak, for that hour shall be given you what ye shall speak. It is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. And the brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children shall rise up against parents, and kill. And ye shall be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end shall be saved. When they persecute you in this city, flee to another, for verily I say unto you not gone through the cities of Israel, the coming of the Son of man. "Following Jesus asserted," It is the disciple of the Master , nor the servant above his lord. Just the disciple be as his master and the servant as his lord. Beelzebub is called the father of the family, let alone those of his household? So do not be afraid of them because there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor hidden that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body but cannot kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy the hell soul and body. (Matthew 10:17 to 10:28.)

30. Who does not take his cross and follows is not worthy of Jesus - Continuing his exhortation to his disciples, Jesus taught: "Do not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and none of them will fall on the ground without your Father And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are worth more than many sparrows. Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth: I came not to bring peace but a sword, for I am come to set man at variance against his father and the daughter against her mother and the daughter against her mother, and the enemies of a man be their family. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it will. He who receives you, receives me and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. Who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, a prophet shall receive a reward, and whoever receives a righteous man in the fair, will receive a fair reward. And anyone who has given only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, verily I say that in no wise lose his reward. " (Matthew 10:29 to 10:42.)

31. The Lord's yoke is easy and his burden light - After comparing the generation that listened to children playing in the streets, he began to be launched in the cities face - which has operated in most of his miracles - not if they had repented, saying: "Woe to you, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! because, in Tire and Sidon were made in the wonders that if you did, there is much they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes. So I say to you that there will be more tolerable for Tire and Sidon on the day of judging, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if in Sodom had been done the mighty works which in you, it would have remained until this day. I tell you, however, that there will be more tolerable for Sodom on the day of judging, than for thee. " Then the Master said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, who hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Yes, Father, for so it pleased thee. All things are delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take upon you my yoke and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. " (Matthew 11:16 to 11:30.)

32. It is lawful to do good on Saturday - Jesus came to a synagogue, where he was a man who had a withered hand. So to accuse him, asked him: "Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath?" The Master said to them, asking: "Which of you is the man who has one sheep, on a Saturday this fall into a pit, he not lay hold of it, and up? How much then is a man than a sheep? It is therefore lawful to do good on the Sabbath. " That said, he asked the man extended his hand: he stretched, and she was healed as the other. The Pharisees were very angry and went out, formed a coalition against him, to kill him. Jesus, knowing this, he withdrew from there, followed by a large crowd of people, and he healed them all. (Matthew 12:9 to 12:16.)

Answers to questions

1. How did the healing of the woman who for twelve years, an issue of blood?

A woman came behind Jesus and touched the hem of his garment, while saying to herself: "If I may but touch his garment I shall be healed." Jesus turning and seeing her, said: "Be of good courage, daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole." And the woman was healed. (Matthew, 9:20 to 9:22.)

2. How were called the twelve apostles and that power was given by Jesus?

The names of the twelve apostles were, Simon, called Peter and Andrew his brother, James son of Zebedee and John his brother, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the publican, James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, surnamed Thaddeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed Jesus. Calling them, Jesus gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and healing every sickness and every evil. (Matthew 10:1 to 10:4.)

3. Sending his twelve apostles to preach, that Jesus gave them recommendations?

There were several recommendations. The main, as the notes of Matthew: "Do not go to the Gentiles, nor enter into any city of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. And going, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye received, freely give. Do not possess gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, nor sandals, nor staff: for the workman is worthy of his food. And in any town or village you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and you there, until you go on. And coming to the house salute it, if the house is worthy, let it on your peace, but if not worthy, for you to make your peace. Shall not receive you, nor hear your words, out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, the day of judging, there will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that city. Behold, I send you as sheep among wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Beware, however, of men, for they will deliver you to councils and scourge you in their synagogues." (Matthew 10:5 to 10:17.)

4. John the Baptist heard in prison about the deeds of Christ, he sent two of his disciples say unto him, Art thou he that should come, or wait for another? What was Jesus' answer?

Jesus said, "Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind see and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel. And blessed is he who takes no offense at me." (Matthew 11:4 to 11:6.)

5. According to Jesus, who, born of woman, was the greatest in the world?

The greatest, according to Jesus was John the Baptist. However, he said the Master, the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Matthew 11:7 to 11:11.)
