The clay pot

A clay pot was thrown in the ground because it was old and dirty. It was considered to be useless. The pot had already lived very happy moments when it was young and pretty. Its painting attracted everyone’s attention.

It actually passed through the hands of many people and used all the time. Therefore now it is considered to be garbage and thrown out! It did not get   damaged   because   it   fell in the middle of

bushes.

The old poor pot complained about his luck and the lack of gratitude from men. He missed to have friendly hands who looked after him. It was so hurt because it was not being used.

He wished to be useful somehow!

Time went by, and he was still there, in the ground. The rain and the wind would damage him. The winter came and it felt so cold without being able to protect itself.

One day, a tiny seed fall over it. It came from the wind which was blowing strongly. He then said:

— Oh, my dear friend pot, can you please help me? Can I stay come inside you? The wind and the cold air are hurting me. I do not have a place to go!

The old pot was so happy for being useful somehow, and said kindly:

— With all my pleasure, my dear little friend! Please come into the pot and stay as long as you like!

The little tiny seed stayed there, protected from the cold air quietly... The pot did not have anything else to do and decided to fall sleep and wait for the weather to get better.

One day the pot woke up and noticed the steps of someone who approached it. The pot also heard an exclamation:

— What a beautiful clay pot!

He looked around to see who they were talking to, but what a surprise! They were talking about him! He looked and then realised it became a beautiful vase of flowers!

The little tiny seed it allowed to stay inside the pot actually germinated. Beautiful little flowers blossomed and filled the air with perfume. The pot smiled and felt really proud of his new occupation in life. It felt so useful now!

That’s what happens to us in life, my friends. We will always be able to be useful somewhere, for something. When we have a real wish of helping others, we will be happier because we will be helped!

Jesus, our Master, will always recompensate us for the good we do to others. He was the one who said: “He will render to each one according to his works”.
