Paulo Sérgio dos Reis speaks to the magazine

“Moral improvement of all, this is the goal that matters” is the title and also the theme of our editorial, which brings considerations about the goal of Spiritism and the Christian doctrine.

Our interviewed of the day is Paulo Sérgio dos Reis, born in Monte Azul Paulista and settled in São José dos Campos, both cities in São Paulo State. Volunteer of the activities promoted by the Spirit Center Love and Charity in his city, he is married to Leya Reis, with who he forms a musical duo which gives doctrinal and musical lectures, central theme in the interview given.

Leonardo Marmo Moreira finished in this edition his article titled “Sleep and its implications in terms of physical and spiritual health”, in which he emphasizes the great importance of the physical sleep not only for the physical somatic body, but also for spiritual growth of the Spirit reincarnated. The first part of the Especial was published last week.

AME-Brazil launched in August the book New Medicine for a new Millennium: humanization of Medical Education, result of a partnership in which many authors from different beliefs came together in favor of the same goal: the humanization of medical education. The journalist Giovana Campos has written an especial report about the subject which is worth reading.

In a day like today – January, 15 – it appeared in Paris, France the first edition of The Medium’s Book, Allan Kardec. It was 1861. The aim of the new work, Kardec wrote: "After exposing the philosophical part of Spiritist science in this book (referring to The Spirits’ Book), we give this practical work, for the use of those who wish to deal with the manifestations, whether to do it personally, or to find out about the phenomena they are allowed to observe. They will see, there, the obstacles they may encounter and also have a means of avoiding them. These two works, while the second is a follow-up to the first, are to some extent independent of each other. But whoever wishes to deal seriously with matter should say that he first read The Spirits’ Book because it contains basic principles without which some parts of it might become difficult to comprehend".
