The real needy people

Once upon a time, in a remote region, the inhabitants of a small village learned about a message that Jesus had left on earth, inviting humankind to inner improvement, loving their neighbours and to help their brothers in the earthly journey.

And marvelled at the lessons of the Master, they decided to meet to study them. The group chose the most convenient time and day of the week for workers wishing to attend the meetings.

And so, on the day scheduled for the beginning of the group's activities everybody was present and full of willingness to learn from that Messenger of Heaven that our Greater Father had sent to the planet to help humankind who was lacking knowledge.

Jesus’ lessons then started to provide guidance to all the participants of the meetings who with open minds to new knowledge and hearts full of love, heard the words of the Gospel of Jesus with their eyes moist with emotion and recognition.

Other inhabitants of the region, heard about the extraordinary message that Jesus brought to the world and wanted to participate but the group did not accept them thinking that the strangers would disturb the environment.

When those in need, suffering and afflicted knocked on the door where the study of the Gospel happened, because they were in need of information and help, had no food to eat and needed help with their illnesses and their lack of knowledge, the doors were closed to them so that they would not disrupt the peaceful environment in which the group lived.

And the group fell in love with the Gospel of Jesus to such an extent that they wanted to keep it pure, beseeching the Master to the aid them in their moral transformation in order to be worthy students of His doctrine.

They asked so much for the help of the Greater Teacher, asking him for guidance to be worthy of working in His harvest that suddenly Jesus appeared among them in broad daylight.

In awe, the faithful students knelt at His feet with their heads to the ground. The Master, full of pity, looked at them with sadness and, without saying anything, started to walk out of the room where they were.

Afflicted because they saw that the Master walked away from them, the group leader pleaded aloud:

- Jesus! We have expected You with our hearts full of love and You stray from us? We need Your guidance! Your Gospel is light in our souls and we want to follow Your steps! Stay with us, dear Master!...

Softly, Jesus stopped, turned to the group who were kneeling at His feet, and full of compassion said:

- My doctrine is love, peace and compassion. I note that you have studied my words but you do not understand them. I came to the needy of the way, for those who suffer and mourn, those in need of mercy and love in their lives. I am going to meet those in misery, to relieve the poor people of the way, those who die for lack of bread, consolation and help. They are

my favourite ones as are those who mourn and cry because they have nothing.

After those words, the Master became silent and went out the open door, meeting the people in need that were already kneeling and waiting for other people's pity outside.

The members of the study group of the Gospel of Jesus also left, following their Master. And, surprised, they saw when He approached the needy of the way touching their heads with His merciful hands, talking to them, guiding them and teaching them to trust in God, our Greater Father. He distributed the bread of divine goodness and all were satisfied, looking at Him with love.

And the group that met for the study of the Gospel of Jesus understood that the most important thing was the love that is extended to all sufferers of the way.

Jesus walked away, disappearing from their view. But now, having understood the true task that they were supposed to perform, the group was willing to take to the streets in search of the poor and needy of love and light.
