O Consolador (The Comforter): 9 years of life
On March 26th, 2007 it was sent to a lovely friend and great spreader of Spiritism, here in Brazil and abroad, the following message:
My dear sibling:
In spite of the storms that befall the world, not sparing even the Spirit movement, we send you at first hand news that will surely give you joy.
We will launch on 18th April, Wednesday, the first number of a spirit weekly written exclusively for the Internet, which is, as you know, the most promising and the most important outreach tool that Spiritism has ever had, and which is better, at a cost almost zero. What Herculano Pires used to say it always missed to spirit press - financial resources – it would not constitute henceforth any problem because a spirit weekly will cost us monthly, the equivalent to a third of the minimum wage.
The company that publishes the website Publisher Leopoldo Machado told us earlier that the page of the newspaper "The Immortal" on the Internet is read by people around the world - Japan, Korea, Australia, many countries in Latin America and Europe and also from the United States.
With respect to the United States, the numbers are amazing, because the consult of the newspaper in that country almost ties in with the amount occurring in Brazil.
Our weekly, whose name is still under study, will always try to disclose the three EEE – (Espiritismo, Evangelho e Esperanto) - Spiritualism, Gospel and Esperanto, and for this, it will be registered in all search engines like Google and Cadê.
In addition to doctrinal matters and news about the Spiritist Movement in Brazil and abroad, we think about creating a fixed section about Esperanto. Possibly the periodic will be weekly, there we put a methodical course containing each week a lesson, and a spirit text already written in Esperanto so that Internet users can go practicing reading.
We welcome and it will certainly participate in the editorial team and editorial board the following confreres... (1)
The weekly will be published every Wednesday containing materials on the current issues and broad news of what will occur in the Spirit Movement within seven days.

In it, the entitled text "The reasons and the commitment of this journal", the guidelines were defined that this magazine has sought to follow since its foundation, with the support of a large number of collaborators and our readers, which form the true capital of a journal that we insist that gracefully reaches to all those who are interested in the Christian message clarified and enriched by the light of Spiritism.
It is completed in this edition nine years of life(2) and therefore we only have to be grateful... And indeed, we thank God, our spiritual friends, the companions that help us to make and edit our issues and especially, the dear readers, the real target and address of we write and disclose here.
