A chat with Ana Silvia Pozzi

“The return of casinos and gambling” is the title of our editorial which analyses and sorrows the proposal that bargain for the freedom of gambling in Brazil, bingos and casinos. 

Ana Silvia Pozzi, current president of Spirit Communion Bezerra de Menezes, in Campo Limpo Paulista, talks about her initiation in Spiritism and the activities at the house she is the president. The interview which was prepared by our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara is one of the highlights of this edition. 

Another spot is the Especial “The biggest message”, authored by the confrere Cláudio Bueno da Silva, from Osasco (SP). In the article he does a retrospect of the work done for many missionaries who passed through the planet and assures that the real Christianity is the biggest message of love heard in the world. 

Divaldo Franco, back to Paraná to participate in the XVIII Spirit State Conference, spoke days before the beginning of the conference to a huge number of people who get together to hear him in the cities of Maringá, União da Vitória and Ponta Grossa. The report made by Paulo Salerno, is one of the highlights of this edition.

In this week is celebrated at the same date – March 9th – two remarkable events in the Spirit Brazilian Calendar: the disembodiment of José Herculano Pires, in 1979 and Yvonne do Amaral Pereira, in 1984.

Author of many books and translator of Kardec’s work, Herculano Pires was a journalist, philosopher and professor and one of the most active disseminator of Spiritism in the country.

Yvonne A. Pereira was one of the most important medium in Spiritism history and many extraordinary works like the classic Memórias de um suicida – Memories of a suicide - and many more.
