Helton Monteiro, from Campinas-SP, speaks to the magazine about the
digital book

“The spirit press before controversial issues” is the theme and the title of our editorial, which explains which is our magazine’s position in the face of doctrinal character of controversy.

“The electronic book has come to stay although has not yet replace printed books.” Such is the thought expressed by the confrere Helton Monteiro, language professor, author, translator and graphic designer, in an interview given to our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara. The interviewed settled in Campinas – SP, the confrere talks about the advantages of e-book and its associations to modern use and research programs. The interview is one of the highlights of this edition.

Another spot in this issue is the titled especial “God’s revelation”, written by the confrere Adilton Pugliese, from Salvador – BA. In the article, he makes a retrospect about various concepts that have arisen over the centuries about God and, finally, reminds us how the issue was handled by Allan Kardec in The Spirits' Book. God is, according to Spiritism, "the Supreme Intelligence, first cause of all things."

It happens from 31st July to 2nd August, in the Theater Odylo Costa Filho, at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), the I Spirit Meeting of Culture and Research French-Brazilian, with the goal to strength the bounds of friendship between France and Brazil and promotion of actions which facilitate the interaction between the two cultures. The report written by Ana Teresa Moraes is one of the highlights of this issue.

It has been launched by EVOC – The Comforter Virtual Publisher last Friday, July 24th, another virtual work: “All about life”, by Cínthia Cortegoso, and the reader can download or read, for free, getting into EVOC’s internet page  http://www.oconsolador.com.br/editora/evoc.htm
