The tearing of
the veils

When the message of Christ is exemplified, the veils of ignorance and cruelty will be torn from top to bottom

In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 27, verse 51, there is a pretty significant record about the tearing of the veil of the Sanctuary, which hid the Tabernacle with the Arch of the Covenant in the Temple of Jerusalem. Invisible and angry hands tore the veils.

Since the mantle was considered sacred, it was unveiled only once a year and only by the High Priest. Nobody else could touch it, not even the King. However, Spirits managed to enter the Tabernacle and tore the veil, by means of a phenomenon, perfectly explained by Spiritism, and resulting from physical mediumship. We need to emphasize that esctoplasm is necessary for the Spirits to be able to directly manifest in matter. In this specific case, it was abundantly produced by Jesus, during the moment of His death.

Symbolically, the veil of Paroketh represents all the compact barriers erected to prevent the access to spiritual knowledge, the true knowledge that frees beings from the shackles of ignorance, formed at will by religious and scientific obscurantism. However, the Master said that the truth would be known (John 8:32) and, therefore, the bondage of dogmatism will end, step by step, freeing all humanity.

Spiritism, as the "Comforter promised by Jesus," has the scope to provide the falling veils of ignorance, through the dissemination of its basic well-structured and clearly defined principles.

The plurality of existences represents a very important doctrinal core concept, since spiritual evolution, a continuous and harmonious development of all the Divine Creation, could not happen in just one physical life.

Jesus is an example of afterlife when, after leaving the tomb, he appeared to Mary Magdalene completely materialized

Through palingenesis, the primitive atom can reach the Archangel, i.e., the spiritual principle improves during millennia, passes the vegetable state, the animal kingdom, the hominal realm, when as an individual it follows the endless path of stars, until he reaches the condition of a pure Spirit, eternally conscious of himself, fully experiencing happiness and perfection.

Christ testified the potential presence of God in us by saying, "You are gods" (John 10:34) and "The Kingdom of God is within you" (Luke: 17:21). Through palingenesia or reincarnation, the being develops and outsources inherent strengths in him. In fact, from the moment of its cosmic formation, he already brings a latent perfection in his innermost core.

At the same time, the reality of the plurality of existences has as a corollary the certainty of the survival of his individuality after the death phenomenon, since to reincarnate means to be born again in another body. Who is "born again" is the Spirit, covered by a semi-material envelope, with energy, called perisprit or spiritual body.

The Master rejects blind faith, which darkens man's mind; the man, who believes without knowing, and who considers that the fate of the Spirit is already sealed after the physical body comes to an end. The Master unlocks the veils of ignorance by returning and revealing the death of death.

When Jesus appeared fully embodied to Mary Magdalene and the disciples, Jesus assured us that we die, but we survive to this death.

While some of the dogmatic religions still preach that the souls go to Heaven, Purgatory or Hell, others believe that the Spirits are asleep awaiting the return of the Master.

Prehistoric creatures buried their dead along with their belongings. They believed in afterlife

According to the Gospel, we can say that life does not end. Spiritual life continues after death.

Many famous and highly regarded scientific sectors have shown and continue to prove that the dead go on living, wide awake and active, and may also reincarnate, according to conclusive research conducted by Charles Richet, Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1913; William Crookes, discoverer of thallium and Nobel Prize in Chemistry (1907), a leading scientific authority in England in his time; Dr. Joseph Banks Rhine (1930), known as "The Father of Parapsychology", Duke University (USA); Dr. Elizabeth Kluber-Ross; Dr. Raymond Moody, Professor Ian Stevenson of the University of Virginia; Dr. Morris Netherton; Dr. Edith Fiore, and many others.

Goethe (1749-1832), the famous German writer, said: "Those who do not expect another life, they are already dead in this one". Guerra Junqueiro (1850-1923), a Portuguese politician, congressman, journalist, writer, and poet, once said: "Only the soul is immortal, only the pure essence. It never breaks down and never is destroyed. The body is only the clay lamp. The soul is its light". "The famous Portuguese writer Eca de Queiroz (1845-1900) stated, "... The bodies of today have souls of a long time ago. The body represents a vestment. The soul is the person". The known French writer and humanist, Victor Hugo (1802-1885) said that "dying is not dying, it is just moving" Fernando Pessoa, poet, philosopher and Portuguese writer (1888-1935), summarized, "Dying is just not being seen.  Dying is the curve the road".

Since primitive man acquired understanding in one of the phases of his evolution, he senses that life does not stop with death. Life predates the somatic vehicle and remains beyond the grave. Prehistoric creatures buried their dead, along with their belongings, as they believed in afterlife.

In the Earth's melting pot, the transcendental being, suffering the harsh state of a denser vibration,
has the opportunity to improve

Carl Gustav Jung, the famous psychoanalyst, said: "A full life requires something more than a being; it needs a Spirit, that is, a higher independent complex, unique and able to call to life all the psychic possibilities that the Consciousness-Ego cannot achieve by itself." ("Realidade del Alma"/Publisher Losada, SA, B. Aires).

The presence of a physical body, with trillions of cells, created from the joining of the ovule and the sperm cannot be coincidence. Specially, if we know that a harmonious cell differentiation occurs, forming different organs and systems in an intelligent work without an overt participation of the pregnant women. There is, indeed, a "Central Regulating Power" or "Guiding Spiritual Principle" responsible for the shaping of the somatic vestment.

The Extra-physical Intelligence, during the process of embryogenesis, reviews its development in the animal series (phylogeny): initially the egg resembling an amoeba, then the phases common to reptiles and birds. A sure proof of the existence of the spiritual being recalling the road traveled, confirming the presence of Extracorporeal Energy or Spirit, releasing everything that was filed over millennia of evolution.

In the Earth's melting pot, the transcendental being, suffering the harsh state of a denser vibration, which acts as a real cell prison, will have the opportunity to grow, to develop his potential and to look for a possible improvement in the several opportunities provided by reincarnation.

Spiritism, as the "Comforter promised by Jesus," also provides the tearing of the veils of cruelty through the disclosure and exemplification of Jesus' moral teachings, clearly embedded in its redemptive Gospel.

The veils of cruelty are ripped by all who are
truly modern-day disciples of Christ

Christ taught and lived love in all moments of his great mission on Earth, from His humble birth to His crucifixion. Dismantling the pillars of cruelty He left us two greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and in your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39). Talking with His disciples, Jesus taught them about love, and said, "I give you a new commandment: love one another in the same way I loved you. This is what will distinguish my disciples..." (John 13: 34-35).

Referring to the solemn moment of the separation of wheat from chaff, referring to those who will remain on an Earth transformed into a world of regeneration, He made of love the banner of salvation, saying: "Come, ye blessed of my Father Take possession of the Kingdom, which ye is prepared from the foundation of the world, for I was hungry and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and ye came unto Me" (Matthew 25: 34-36). The Master says that those who serve Him trough helping a neighbor will be saved". Indeed, "out of charity, there is no salvation."

The veils of cruelty are torn by all those who are truly modern-day Disciples of Christ, showing their love in every moment of life.

The Comforter, which will not leave Humanity orphan (John 14:18) teaches us that the insensibility veils ought to be torn through the "Love one another". Similarly, is to be done to the veils of ignorance trough the "study and learn".

The tearing of the veil of Paroketh reveals that, at the time when Christ will become truly known and His message of freedom truly lived, the Tabernacle of God, represented by the truth that clarifies will no longer be hidden, since the veils of ignorance and cruelty will be torn from top to bottom.

May the light shine when the veils are torn...
