Marcos André Papa
speaks to the magazine

"150 years of The Gospel According to Spiritism" is the title of the editorial in this issue, which is remembered the appearance of the best known and most widely read spiritist work, whose influence on the direction of the Spiritist movement was predicted by spirituality even before its launch in April 1864.

Our interview this week is the colleague Marcos André Papa, councilman in the city of Ribeirão Preto – São Paulo. Spiritist since his birth, the confrere is the current president of the Unification Kardecista, a known institution located in his city. The interview given to our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara, offers to the reader a broad approach about the political arena in the country, its consequences, and of course, what matters most in the spiritist lucid vision, especially considering the maturity of political consciousness, use of voting and other important considerations.

The Special of the week entitled "How to avoid melancholy", is authored by our collaborator Jorge Leite de Oliveira, Brasilia (DF). It was known in antiquity as melancholia. It is depression, in our time, has been the great evil of humanity and the best therapy for this ancient disease - the writer says – it is love.

Three days of excitement, learning and exchange of experiences. This was the result of the 4th Brazilian Spiritist Congress, held in an unprecedented manner simultaneously in the four host cities (Campo Grande, João Pessoa, Manaus and Vitória), on 11 to 13 April, as it is shown a special report dedicated to the important event.

It was launched by EVOC - Publisher Virtual The Comforter in the last Thursday, April 24th, the online edition of the novel O Pretoriano (The Praetorian), authored by Caio Fábio Quinto, psychographed by medium Christina Nunes, from Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Here is the link that refers to the EVOC page - http://www.oconsolador.com.br/editora/evoc.htm, where the mentioned book can be downloaded for free.
