The president of the Military Cross Spiritists speaks
to this magazine

"Reincarnation and its distinguished supporters" is the title of this week's editorial, which speaks of the ancient doctrine of reincarnation and experiences relevant to its scientific evidence.

One of the highlights of this week is an interview granted by our colleague Danilo Carvalho Villela, president of the Military Cross Spiritists. Retired Army colonel, born in Spiritism, our interviewee is also Social Promotion Director for the Home Fabiano de Cristo. The interview focuses on the work of the Military Cross Spiritists, an entity that completes 70 years in November 2014.

Another highlight is the Special entitled "Spiritism and the "Decomposition and Sustainability of Nature," written by our colleague Jorge Hessen, Brasilia (DF). According to Hesse, the Earth resembles a living organism, with mechanisms to self-regulate its functions, and, therefore, we need to take care of it.

One of the highlights this week is the "Jose Goncalves Spiritist Home," founded on June 25, 1940 in the small city of "Mineiros do Tiete" (SP). This institution boards elderly homeless. It has gained respect due to the work performed over the years, as shown in an article published in this issue.

The day before yesterday, November 22, sent us back to a remarkable fact in the history of Spiritism occurred in 1904, the finding of Charles Rosma's skeleton and his peddler's tin, in the ruins of the house where the Fox Sisters lived, in Hydesville (United States) at the time of the advent of Spiritism. The news was published in the Boston Journal - a non-Spiritist newspaper - on November 23, 1904.
