Maria José Bueno, from Poços de Caldas, talks to the magazine

This week’s editorial, "The great challenge of reincarnation" reminds us that reincarnation has a definite goal, which is to achieve perfection, both with respect to moral values as with regard to intellectual values.

Maria José Bueno, from Pocos de Caldas-MG, is our interviewee this Sunday. A volunteer at the Spiritist Center Fraternal Union Raul Cury and the Bezerra de Menezes Spiritist House, she is the current president of the Municipal Spiritist Alliance (AME) of Pocos de Caldas. In the interview, which is one of the highlights of this issue, Maria José talks about the spiritist movement in her city.

Another highlight of the issue is the conclusion of the special article "Origin of the black and yellow races on Earth", written by our collaborator Gebaldo José de Sousa, from Goiânia-GO. Divided into two parts, the first part of this article was published last Sunday.

Opened on October 15th, 1967, the André Luiz Spiritist Hospital, founded by the Fraternity Group from the spiritual guidance of Joseph Gleber, is near to completing 46 years of activity, as shown in a special article which is also one of the highlights of this issue.

On a Sunday like today - July 21st - Professor Luís da Costa Porto Carreiro Neto passed away in 1964. A medium and renowned Esperanto, he continued the work begun by Francisco Valdomiro Lorenz, and published in the journal "Reform" a column of doctrinal verses received directly in Esperanto. Born in Recife-PE, Porto Carreiro passed away at the age of 69.
