Here comes the 22nd Londrina Spiritist Week

This week’s editorial, "Spiritist Week, an event that requires the support of all" describes preparations for the 22nd Londrina Spiritist Week, which for the first time will hold evening lectures in a large auditorium outside the spiritist house.

Maria Túlia Bertoni, current president of the Spiritist Federation of Mato Grosso do Sul, is our interviewee this Sunday. In the interview, which is one of the highlights of this edition, Maria Túlia talks about the spiritist movement in her state and the difficulties she faces in conducting her activities. According to her, the current challenge is to make "the companions understand the role of the Federation."

Another highlight of this issue is the special article titled "Violence - A state of mind?", authored by our collaborator Guaraci de Lima Silveira, from Juiz de Fora-MG. According to Guaraci, violence is temporary and will disappear from this planet when humankind seeks the higher principles that date back to the Heavenly Father and Creator of all of us to live together in harmony and with Him.

"Mental Health under a New Prism" was the theme of the III Symposium on Science and Spirituality of Mato Grosso do Sul, held May 9th and 10th in Campo Grande-MS, as reported by our collaborator Giovana Campos. The report is also one of the highlights of this edition.

This past Friday marked 130 years since Bezerra de Menezes, the most important Brazilian Spiritist figure of the 19th century, wrote to his brother communicating that he had adopted Spiritism. This occurred on May 31st, 1883 and produced a huge effect at that time.
