The Gospel According to Spiritism

We continue with the methodical study of "The Gospel According to Spiritism" by Allan Kardec, the third of the works that make up the Pentateuch Kardecian, whose first edition was published in 1864. The answers to the questions suggested for discussion was the end of the text below.

A. The euthanasia is accepted by Spiritism?

B. What is the role of Spiritism in his feature of Comforter promised by Jesus?

103. As discarnates when we were in space, we chose our trials, judging us strong enough to support them. Why now mumble? Those who sought the wealth and glory they wanted to sustain the struggle with temptation and overcome it. 104. What remedy to prescribe attacked obsessions of ruthless and excruciating evils? Only one is infallible: faith, appeal to Heaven Faith is a safe remedy the suffering. No wonder, therefore, to spirits which remedy to cure such as ulcer or wound, to such temptation or such proof. 105. In general assumption can be stated that happiness is a utopia whose conquest generations are launched successively lograrem without ever reaching it. 112. "Come to Me - Jesus said - all you who are afflicted and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn with me that I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden light. "Such words are interpreted thus: All the sufferings, miseries, disappointments, physical pain, loss of loved ones find comfort in faith in the future, confidence in the righteousness of God, which Christ came to teach men. About that, unlike, expects nothing after this life, or who simply doubt, afflictions fall with all his weight and no hope it mitigates the bitterness. This is what Jesus meant. But he makes a condition of its assistance and happiness _ to the afflicted. This condition is the law that he taught. Answers to questions

A. The euthanasia is accepted by Spiritism?

No, under any circumstances. The materialist, who sees only the body and the soul has no account, is unable to understand these things, the spirit, however, that you know what goes on beyond the grave, knows the value of a final thought. Recommended in St. Louis: "Diminish the ultimate suffering, as ye can, but beware of shortening life, albeit in a minute, because that minute can avoid many tears in the future." (The Gospel According to Spiritism, chapter V, paragraph 28.)

B. What is the role of Spiritism in his feature of Comforter promised by Jesus?

As the words of Jesus (John 14:15 to 17 and 14:26), the Comforter would be with us, teach us all things and remind us all that he would do himself told us. To fulfill the prophecy and exercising this role, Spiritism calls men to the observance of the law; teaches us all things, making us understand what Jesus just said in parables; lifts the veil on certain mysteries intentionally released, and finally brings the supreme consolation to the disinherited of the earth and all who suffer, to prove that there is a just cause and a useful purpose in every pain.

Jesus said: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." But as there is someone to feel happy to suffer if you do not know why suffer? The Spiritism shows the origin of suffering in previous lives and in the allocation of the Earth, where man atones for his past, and explains the purpose of the sufferings, pointing them as salutary crises that produce healing and as a means of debugging that guarantees happiness in future existences. The man understands, then you deserve to suffer and think just suffering. You know that this helps you advance and accepted without murmur, as the worker accepts the job that will assure the wage.

The Spiritism gives unshakable faith in the future and certainly no more poignant if it seizes the soul. Giving you see things from above, the importance of some earthly life in the vast and splendid horizon he does unfold, and the prospect of promised happiness that awaits gives patience, resignation and courage to go to term the path. C. What are the two recommendations made to spiritists by the Spirit of Truth?

Known to spiritists, they are: "Spiritsts! Love one another, this first lesson, instruct you, this second". In Christianity are all truths, are human errors that it took root. (Ibid., Chapter VI, Section 5.)

D. What is the virtue mentioned by Jesus as an essential condition of promised happiness?

The humbleness. When told that the kingdom of heaven is the simple, wanted Jesus mean that anyone is granted entry into this realm without the humility and simplicity of heart, in spirit, the ignorant possessor of these qualities will be preferred to the wise who believe more in themselves than in God. In all circumstances, Jesus puts humility, in the category of virtues approach God and pride among the vices that the creature away from him, and this very natural for a reason: the humility to be an act of submission to God, while pride is the revolt against him. (Ibid., Chapter VII, items 2, 3 and 6.)
