Two news, both regrettable

International news
:

"June 8th. Today has passed away the first victim of Dignified Death Act, in Argentina. This law passed just over a month; it allows family members of people living in a vegetative state or with no prospect of recovery to authorize the disconnection of the equipment that keeps them alive."

It is asked to us:

What is in this, we the Spiritists do in the face of occurrences of that level?
First, lamenting bitterly that laws are approved with this content in so-called Christian countries, as is the case of Argentina.

Second, expand our efforts and our campaigns in favor of life, but above all become a tool for love and work without flagging with the families of creatures in the terminal stage, so that everyone, we and they understand that the moment of birth and time of death do not belong to us, but to the supreme Creator.

From local news:

"June 28th. The GEEM - Emmanuel Spiritist Group, through an Extrajudicial Notice, it was determined to be removed immediately from the website of this magazine all copyrighted works from the mentioned publisher."

In view of the notification, the direction of The Comforter (O Consolador) has provided the exclusion in our Virtual Library website for all works published by GEEM - Emmanuel Spiritist Group, as it can be checked by the reader, it has been put in place the contents of each book, the following information: "Sorry. This work was removed from the site in response to the Extrajudicial Notice of GEEM - Emmanuel Spiritist Group, owner of the respective copyrights."

In responding to the received notification, we clarify that our website, responsible for the issue of this magazine, no charges its readers, nor accept paid advertising placement, because our goal is simply the dissemination of Spiritism, free of charge without restriction of any kind.

By making available to the public the works of Chico Xavier, published by several publishers, among which the main is Brazilian Spiritist Federation, we could never assume that this fact could disturb the others, since most of the production of the late psychic medium are not available anywhere, since they have been edited for a long time, many books by him psychographic have not come to the attention of new generations of Spiritists and its supporters, which form, as everyone knows, the larger number of those who rely the internet is in the middle spirit, or not.

It is asked to us:

What is in this, we Spiritists do in the face of occurrences of that level?
First, lamenting bitterly that there are spiritists who regard the disclosure of Spiritism merely by its commercial side.

Second, expect that such attitudes are not shared by other spirit publishers, a tribute to all those - both in Brazil and abroad - need to be facilitated, not impaired, access to works of the late psychic, who never received a penny for the gigantic task he held with a view to spreading the doctrine that we embrace.
