C. From the point of view of earthly happiness, what is the situation that Spiritist considers to be, effectively, a real misfortune?

D. Why, in earthly society, are more numerous classes suffering than happy?

E. How to understand the opinion of those who consider communication desecration of the dead?

Text for reading

557. There are evils that are independent of man's way to proceed and reach even the most righteous. If there is no way of avoiding them, the man should resign and suffer them without a murmur, if you want to progress. Always, however, draw comfort is given in consciousness itself that gives you the hope of a better future to have what it takes to get it. (L.E., 924)

558. Favor with the gifts of rich men means a certain favor in the eyes of those who only see the present. It is, however, knowing: wealth is ordinarily proves more dangerous than poverty. (L.E., 925)

559. The evils of this world are in the ratio of factitious needs that you create. The many disappointments in this life is saved who knows how to restrict their desires without envy and look for what is above it. He who has less need, that the richest. Covet the pleasures of the lucky ones that appear in the world. You know, perhaps, which is reserved for them? If your personal enjoyment are all they belong to the number of selfish, then the reverse will come. You should, preferably, pity them. (L.E., 926)

560. When a righteous man is unhappy, this is a test that will be taken into account if you bear with courage. Remember these words of Jesus: Blessed are those who suffer, for they shall be comforted. (L.E., 926)

561. The natural abilities indicate our vocation in this world. Many of our ills come from not follow this vocation, and are often the parents who, through pride or avarice, his children deviate from the path which Nature has traced them, committing them happiness, the effect of the deviation. They will answer for it. (L.E., 928)

562. The man can always make himself useful to the extent of his faculties, provided you do not apply in reverse. So, instead of a bad lawyer, maybe this good mechanic, if he followed his natural abilities. (L.E., 928-A)

563. The inability to career embraced a source of endless setbacks. Moreover, self-esteem failed to prevent the resort to a more humble profession and it shows suicide as a remedy to escape what seems to him humiliation. If a moral education had raised him above the foolish prejudices of pride, would never be caught off guard. (L.E., 928-A, Kardec comment)

564. No one should ever have the idea to let himself die of hunger. The man would find it always kind of food, if pride did not place himself between the need and work. It is said: There is despicable trade. This, however, each one says to the others and not for you. (L.E., 929)

565. There are people who, as a result of disease or other causes beyond the control of them, find themselves unable to meet their needs. This fact is deeply regrettable, because - warn the spirits - a company organized under the law of Christ, no one should die of hunger. (L.E., 930)

566. When a man practicing the law of God, have a social order founded on justice and solidarity, and he himself will also be better. (L.E., 930, Kardec comment)

567. Why in the world, the influence of the bad outweighs the good? For these weaknesses. The bad ones are intriguing and audacious, the good are shy. When they want it, will be above that. (L.E., 932)

568. The pain caused by the loss of loved ones affects both the rich and the poor: it is a proof, or atonement, and is the common law. You have, however, a consolation in that you may communicate with you by your friends means you are within reach, while not having other means more direct and more accessible to your senses. (L.E., 934)

Answers to questions

A. Can the man have complete happiness on earth?

No, since life on our planet is given to man as evidence or atonement. His, however, depends on the smoothing of its ills, and be as happy as possible on earth. (The Spirits' Book, questions 920 and 921.)

B. It is known that earthly happiness is relative to the position of each one. What for one is enough, is the misfortune of another. But there is some amount of happiness that may be common to all people?

Yes. With respect to material life, is the possession of necessities. With regard to the moral life, a clear conscience and faith in the future. (Ibid., questions 922 and 923.)

C. From the point of view of earthly happiness, what is the situation that Spiritist considers to be, effectively, a real misfortune?

The only real misfortune is when the person suffers from lack of necessities of life and health of the body. (Ibid., question 927.)

D. Why, in earthly society, are more numerous classes suffering than happy?

The classes that we call suffering are more numerous for being the place of atonement earth. When there are converted into the abode of good spirits and good man leaves here and there to be unhappy earth is a paradise for him. (Ibid., 931 question. See also questions 866, 926, 927 and 933.)

E. How to understand the opinion of those who consider communication desecration of the dead?

It is a mistaken belief, because there is no profanity when, in addition to the collection, the evocation is practiced respectfully and appropriately. The proof that this is the fact that we have spirits that we enshrine affection come running with pleasure to our call. There would be desecration only if this was done lightly. (Ibid., question 935.)
