Moral and intellectual progress does not always go together
Regard to progress, you could say it is comparable to sunrise, in other words, even apparently it happens slowly, the progress culminates in achieving success.
Clearly, ignorance associated with force power and deceived by false culture, has stood up in order to create obstacle to development of men and people. An example about that it was Galileo Galilei lived. Progress - as one of the laws that governs life in entire universe – inevitably it comes, changing the face and the constitution of what is ahead, deploying resources and enhancing beauty and tranquilly and comfort.
That way it can be checked progress improvement, which will lift men from the soil of imperfections. Where men still are until their glorious destination, which is perfection.
Everyone knows that there are two types of progress – moral and intellectual progress.
Human creature grows by himself, in a natural way. Although, it is clearly that it doesn’t happen at the same time to everyone. Each one has his or her time, in his or her way. Who has kids already know that or will notice it in your own family.
Because of this, God makes the earliest assist the progress of others, through interaction, social contact. And that is why everyone has the duty to help the others. Synthesized by Jesus, it is a duty which is known: “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Moral progress does not always go with intellectual progress. It is normal man and the people acquire a higher scientific progress and then, slowly, improve their moral.
The synopsis of new technologies presented by Veja magazine (29/12/2010), shows the accurate dimension of how it has been the scientific progress. Electronics, that work without any physical contact. Cars go thousands of miles, without anyone behind the wheel. Drugs, that avoid Aids virus infection. Electronic tools such as iPad, which allow you to read a book or a magazine of digital content as if you were handing them as they were printed.
Some time ago there was a curious gadget in the market, a portable GPS receiver (Global Positioning System), which not only indicates the exact location – city and street and number where someone is – but it also gives the necessary information, with all possible details. So that way the person reaches his or her destination. Fact, that it becomes clear how it should be easy for spiritual guardians to find people, who call them in their prayers or ask for help.
Moral improvement, however, it is far away from this and others technological achievements which has contributed to more comfort for those in earth live. Whereas injustice, corruption, violence, drug traffic, wars, terrorism continues to fill pages and pages of our leading journals.
The reason for that is not, however, difficult to understand: intellectual improvement does not in itself the necessity of good. A person with high intelligence may be bad. That is why we find in many nations technically advanced so much injustice and problems mentioned above. It is that still missing moral of its members.
Increasing the discernment between good and evil, and through the development of free-will, it extends to humans the notion of responsibility in thinking and speaking and acting. This is what determines the so-called vertical jump, or moral progress of human being. It is the only factor that can ensure men happiness on earth, where it restrains the evil passions and makes the harmony, peace and brotherhood reigns among us.
