Toby’s lesson

Once upon a time, there was a boy called Junior. He was very misbehaved. He liked to fight with other kids and mistreat animals.

The boys could defend themselves, but the animals that are docile and humble, did not react. He threw stones at birds and destroyed their nests. He hit cats, dogs and kitchens. No one liked him.

His mom, who was a very kind woman, felt sorry for the animals and tried to correct his behaviour by giving him advices:

— Junior, my son! Be careful. One day you will regret what you are doing! What have they done for you? They are sons of God, like us, and deserve to be respected and treated with care.

Junior did not care about it. He went out to play, ignoring his mom’s advices. One day Junior decided to go out and play with his dog Toby.

The dog went in front of him happily. It was so difficult for Junior to take him out to the streets!

He walked down the street and saw a branch from a tree at the floor. He took it and started to play with it at the

air. He then had an idea. With bad intentions, he threatened Toby with the branch, as if he was going to hit him. The little dog saw the gesture and the boy’s intentions.

Toby was tired of being mistreated by his owner and decided to give him a lesson. He turned around and bitted Junior. He just gave him a small bite to scare him, as a lesson. The boy, surprised and frightened, started

to cry.

He felt a great pain when he was bitten by the dog. He then realised how much he has hurt the other animals. He learned a lesson. From that moment onwards, he never hurt any other animals, which ended up becoming his friends.

He became a good boy from that day, who also protected all animals.
