Year 2 - N° 88 - January 4, 2009
  Translation
FELIPE DARELLA - felipe.darella@gmail.com

To accomplish in 2009 what God expects from us, that’s what we wish

We start 2009 with auspicious news that is the integration of three new collaborators to the team of translators of our magazine, Carolina von Scharten, from London (UK), Patrícia Baptista Onodera and Mani Jesus Fagundes dos Santos, both from  Auckland (New Zealand), who will help our confrere Felipe Darella translating into English. To our new collaborators, our welcome to “O Consolador”.

At this beginning of year, as no one ignores, it’s a usual procedure to wish a Happy New Year, subject of our Leading Article this issue, which talks about the word prosperity and its true sense according to the Spiritist Doctrine.

You’ll also see the interview that Cláudio Luciano Oliveira Lins, creator of Portal Garanhuns Espírita, delivered to our collaborator and Editor Orson Peter Carrara, in which the confrere talks about the proposal, structures and difficulties of spreading Spiritism via internet.

Another highlight of this issue is the Special entitled “Hypotheses about the organic and psychological action of ectoplasm”, in which the confrere Jáder Sampaio analyzes the book A ‘Vital Fluid’ Called Ectoplasm, by Matthieu Tubino, published by Publicações Lachâtre.

We call, at last, your attention to a story by Fernanda Borges about the Christmas party promoted last month by the Christian-Spiritist Communion of Londrina, an institution located in an area peopled by poor families, something common in that city.

*

Wishing again a Happy New Year, which we had also said in the last issue of 2008, our hope is that, despite the increasing crisis, we can accomplish in 2009 what God expects from us, even though the obstacles of the journey can make it harder.
