How to deal, at the light
of Spiritism, with homosexuality

The last days of November brought much pain and misery to the people of Santa Catarina. People from all ages among the casualties and houses destroyed, with everything they had inside, this is the tragedy inflicted on our neighbor state, as it’s shown in our leading article, entitled “Impossible to be apart from the misery of Santa Catarina”.

One of the highlights of this issue is the interview delivered by our Paraibana confrere Walkiria Lucia de Araújo Cavalcante to our collaborator and editor Orson Peter Carrara. Member of the Spiritist Center the Essenes, she is a lecturer, writer to several newspapers and participant of the mediumistic group, besides working with tasks related to the functioning of Spiritist institutions.

Another highlight of this issue is the Special entitled “A Christian view on homosexuality”, in which Jorge Hessen assumes that, as soon as the leaning towards homosexuality is identified in this dimension of existence, it’s paramount to give them proper educative support, at the same way it’s done with the heterosexual majority of the society.

Currently with 21 members, the Spiritist Choir Nosso Lar, established on April 27 this year, is the topic of the story written by Marinei Ferreira Rezende, who also analyzes the importance of music in the Spiritist Center. The story is another highlight of this issue.

There has been verified in some means, especially over the Internet, a campaign whose aim is to associate Kardec to racism. The aim is, obviously, denigrate the Spiritist Doctrine and create a hostile environment to the spreading of the Doctrine in those who are victims of the alleged prejudice. The story is analyzed in-depth by our collaborator Paulo Neto in the text “Racism in Kardec” in which you can check it out on the website http://www.scribd.com/doc/8439082/Racismo-Em-Kardec
