Letter to the reader

How is the spirit of a person in coma?

The doubt expressed in the sentence above is more common than you think. What is the situation of the Spirit during the coma? Does it come off the body? Does he stay by the bed all the time? Can you work as a Spirit? Can you study? What is the purpose of such a state that sometimes tends to last a long time? The subject is covered in the book “Twenty Days in Coma”, written by Wilson Frungilo Jr., as shown in a special article by our collaborator Thiago Bernardes.

Cristina Zouvi, vice president of the Allan Kardec Fellowship Society of San Diego, is our interviewee. She was born in the capital of São Paulo, she has lived in San Diego, California (USA) for several years, where she works professionally as a paediatric nurse. In spiritist activities, in addition to being vice president of the Spiritist House, she coordinates children's evangelization, doctrinal courses and public lectures, among other activities, as she tells us in the interview she gave to our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara.

Kardec, make a 21! is the title of an interesting article written in partnership by Marcelo Henrique, Marcus Braga and Wellington Balbo. In it, the authors discuss the question that always raised by some confreres regarding the need to update Kardec, with the argument that his work is out of date. But, at the end of the article, they rightly warn that what really needs to be updated always, and at all times, is our perception of the world.
