No One Likes Filth!

Zeze was a nice and talkative boy who liked to play with his friends and was always ready to help no matter what.

However, he had a very negative habit: he did not like to take showers!

Have you ever seen a boy who does not like to take a shower? Surely, soon he will be very dirty, both his body and his clothes!

So the boys at school started to keep away from him. No one wanted to sit next to Zeze because he exuded a very bad smell!

- But what can I do? I cannot get into the bathroom and take a shower! I even get to start the water, I take off my clothes, but when it is time to get wet, I can’t!... It seems like there's someone who will not let me do it!...

One day, one of the girls who were his friends, who liked him and wanted to help, advised him by saying:

- Zeze, I really like you and I know you're a good friend! But you should not look like a little pig!... People cannot stand the way you stink! Do you know what it would be good for you to do? Before bed, pray and ask Jesus for help! Surely Jesus will help you!...

That night, Zeze entered the bathroom ready to take a shower. He took off his clothes, his shoes, and started the water that poured down warm and nice! Excited, he tried to get in, but couldn’t. Faced with his failure, Zeze sat down on a chair and cried a lot.

He did not want to be perceived as someone who did not like to be clean! He wanted to overcome that problem, and he would.

So that night Zeze went to bed without a shower but he prayed to Jesus, begging help to overcome his problem.

Soon he fell asleep. Suddenly, he found himself in a place with someone else, a man who, like him, was not clean. So Zeze asked:

- Don’t you like to take showers either?

- No. I like my smell! A long time ago I suffered for not taking showers and now I cannot do it! I was in a place where no one was taking showers because there was no clean water. So I got used to it and now I do not need to shower anymore!

- What is your name?

- My nickname is Filth. Everyone calls me that.

- But it's important to take a shower, Filth! Otherwise, no one will be able to stay close to you!...

- After Martha, a girl I liked, walked away from me because of how dirty I am, I never again tried to take a shower. All I do is cry with sadness.

- Pray and ask Jesus to protect you. You are good-looking but your dirtiness is what ruins you! If you change, Martha will notice and come back to talk to you! Now I have to go, my friend. Remember what I told you. Talk to Jesus!...

Zeze woke up in bed feeling very well. He remembered Filth and said a prayer for him so he could free himself of all that filth. It was dawn and Zeze felt so good that he wanted to take a shower. He went into the bathroom and under the water. No problem! The water was nice and warm. He got dressed in clean clothes and went to school.

Everyone who came near him exclaimed:

- What a good smell, Zeze! You look great!...

Zeze smiled, excited, but did not tell anyone what had happened. He only told his friend Julie, who nodded in agreement:

- Well done, Zeze! I felt that there was someone next to you who was very dirty. And I was sure that, helping the spirit, it would help you too!

- I do not know how to thank you, Julie!

- Then do the same thing to other people who are in need of help. Now, shall we go to our classroom? The bell has already rung! ...
