The physician Ana Paula Vecchi speaks to the magazine


“Considerations about suicide” is the title of our editorial, which speaks about the especial of the current edition, authored by Lívis B. Formiga and Luiz Carlos Formiga.

 

“Nothing happens by chance; everything happens for our good” – the sentence was said by Ana Paula Vecchi, physician rheumatologist of children and member of the Physician-Spirit Association of Goiânia, in an interview given to the journalist Giovana Campos. The doctor talks about the congenital diseases and its causes. The interview is one of the spots of this number. 

Another spot of this edition is the especial “There is always tomorrow”, authored by Livia B. Formiga and Luiz Carlos Formiga, Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The authors analyze the theme suicide, its causes, implications and complexities. 

It happened on October 7 to 9 in Lisbon, the 8º World Spirit Congress, event promoted by the International Spirit Council (CEI). In Portugal the confrere José Lucas tells us how it happened in an especial report which is also one of the highlights of this number. 

Next Tuesday, October 25th, it is celebrating one more anniversary of the disembodiment happened in 1918, of Pedro Richard, prominent spirit at the beginning of times of the existence of the Brazilian Spirit Federation. He was born in Macé (RJ) in 1853, Pedro Richard was called by Indalício Mendes of “The Gospel Pilgrim”. Bezerra de Menezes’ companion, Sayão’s brothers, Maia de Lacerda, Leopoldo Cirne and other, he was one of the founders of the “Ismael Group”.
