Letter to the reader

Year 17 - 817 - April 2, 2023

It is started a new year for this magazine with this edition

On this date we begin the “Year 17” of this magazine, although the first issue was published on April 18, 2007, the official founding date of O Consolador. The difference between the dates stems from the fact that each year of the journal consists of 51 issues, which does not affect the fact that we celebrate the magazine's anniversary on the day it appeared: April 18th. In this issue, we present as the first highlight the interview given to us by Ana Cristina Pardini, from Botucatu (SP), the city where she participates as a collaborator in the activities of the Caminho da Luz Spiritist Center. In the interview, she tells us, among other things, how she became a spiritist and how she sees the current state of the Brazilian spiritist movement.

Another highlight is the special Spiritism there is only one, that of Kardec and none else, by José Lucas, from Óbidos, Portugal. In the article, he says that our planet is going through moments of physical and moral torment and that such a state of affairs could not fail to affect spiritists, especially the less vigilant and those less in tune with superior spirituality.

Also noteworthy in this edition is the new launch of EVOC, the virtual publisher of O Consolador magazine – the children's work The day that God cried colorful, by Sandro Drumond Brandão, from Belo Horizonte (MG). The e-book, as with all EVOC releases, can be read or downloaded for free.
