Letter to the reader

Year 16 - 790 - September 18, 2022

Charity is the remedy for the ills of the spirit

The above sentence is authored by our interviewee, Sandro Drumond Brandão, from Belo Horizonte (MG). Graduated in Law and Attorney of the State of Minas Gerais, he participates, in the spiritist affairs, of the Centro Espírita Cristão Santo Agostinho, whose work of assistance to the homeless is one of the subjects discussed in his interview, one of the highlights of this edition.

Another highlight is the Special “Obsession: the experience of Edith Fiore”, by Ricardo Baesso de Oliveira, member of the Editorial Board and columnist for our magazine. He is a physician, who lives in Juiz de Fora (MG). In the article, he makes considerations about the psychotherapeutic practice exercised by the American psychologist Edith Fiore.

Yesterday, the 17th, was another anniversary of the foundation in Salvador (BA) of the first spiritist society that emerged in Brazil, the Grupo Familiar do Espiritismo, created on September 17, 1865 by Luís Olímpio Teles de Menezes and a group of friends, as shown by Thiago Bernardes in a special article published in this issue.
