Ebenezer E. Lewis' work on the facts of Hydesville is the new EVOC e-book

With a translation by Osvaldo Camargo Bräscher, from Santa Catarina but living in Florianópolis (SC), the work written by Ebenezer E. Lewis, entitled “Mysterious noises in John D. Fox's house in Hydesville”, published on Thursday, June 30, is the new release of EVOC, the virtual editor of the magazine “O Consolador”. The e-book, as with all EVOC publications, can be downloaded free of charge. The report relevant to the launch of the work is one of the highlights of this edition.

Another highlight is the interview that Alexandre Caroli Rocha, PhD in Theory and Literary History from UNICAMP, based in Belo Horizonte (MG), granted, through Orson Peter Carrara, to our magazine. A professional in the field of Letters, he is the author of the master's dissertation, defended in 2001: “The transcendent poetry of Parnaso from beyond the grave”, which is the central theme of the aforementioned interview. Parnaso is completing 90 years since it appeared in 1932.

Violence of all gradations tarnishes the sociological achievements of this century and it is present at all levels of society, with greater or magnitude. With these words, by way of introduction, our collaborator Jorge Hessen, who is part of the Editorial Board of this magazine, wrote the Special entitled “Hodiernal Bestialities”, in which he examines the theme of violence in both planes of life and tells us how we should position ourselves us before it.
