Text for reading

295. The influence body, which is felt by more or less time on the Spirit of the child is also noticed sometimes the Spirit of those who died in a state of madness. The Spirit, in itself, is not crazy, it is known, however, that certain spirits judge, for some time, which still belong to this world. There is therefore no wonder that in the mad, the Spirit still resent the barriers during life, opposed to the free expression of their thoughts, until it is completely detached from matter. There are crazy, but that soon after the death regain all his lucidity. (Item 282, note Kardec after question 35)

296. The incarnation of the Spirit is not an obstacle to its evocation, however, it is necessary that the state allow the body at the time of the Holy evocation becomes detached. With much more ease comes the Spirit incarnate, the higher category in the world where it is, because in the higher worlds to Earth bodies are less material. (Item 284, question 37)

297. You can evoke the spirit of a living person, which can be also be evoked without. (Item 284, question 38)

298. In being raised, the person's body sleeps or slumbers, is when the Spirit is free. The body can not wake up while the Spirit is absent, as it is forced into your home, if you have to wake up. (Item 284, question 39)

299. The Spirit is never completely separated from the living body he inhabits. Whatever the distance that the carriage, it is kept turned on for a fluidic loop which serves to call it, when it becomes necessary. This bond only death breaks. (Item 284, question 40)

300. If, during sleep, the body is mortally wounded, and the Spirit is warned about before death is consummated. If the blow is given suddenly and unexpectedly, the Spirit is prevented before the mortal blow is vibrated. (Item 284, question 41)

301. Although difficult, it is absolutely impossible to conjure up the spirit of a person awake, because if the recall takes effect, it may be that the person falls asleep, but the Spirit can not communicate, as Spirit, but at times when the their presence is not necessary for intelligent activity of the body. (Item 284, question 43)

303. The faculty to communicate simultaneously at two different points only to have the spirits completely detached from matter. (Item 284, question 46)

Answers to questions

A. The mediums seers can see spirits regularly?

It depends, there are those who enjoy the right of clairvoyance in the normal state, when they are perfectly agreed, and retain a memory of it accurate, some not only have the somnambulistic state, or neighbor's sleepwalking. This option is rarely permanent, the effect is almost always a crisis momentary and fleeting. May be included in the category of seeing mediums all persons equipped with the second view. Among the mediums there are seers who see only the spirits that we evoke and what they can do with a thorough description accuracy. Describe their gestures, the expression of his countenance, facial features, clothing and even the feelings that seem animated. There are others in which the college is even more general, they see all the people come and go spiritual environment. (The Book of Mediums, items 167-169).

B. Mediumship can be exploited for speculative purposes?

No, mediumship is a faculty granted for good and good spirits turn away from anyone who wishes to make it a stepping stone to achieve that does not match the designs of Providence. (Ibid., items 305 and 306.)

C. What is the best guarantee against quackery?

The mediumistic faculty, even confined to the limits of physical manifestations, was not granted to expose themselves in the theaters, and who you want to have under his orders spirits to display them in public, may well be suspected of quackery or sleight or more less skilled. In view of this, we conclude that the absolute disinterest is the best guarantee against quackery. If this detachment does not always ensure the good quality of intelligent communications, deprives least bad spirits a powerful means of action and closes the mouth of certain detractors. (Ibid., item 308.)

D. Many spiritualists are the only charity in the lips. What say the spirits about it?

The disciples of Christ disowns whoever charity only on the lips. It is not enough to believe, we must above all give example of kindness, benevolence and disinterestedness, without which faith they will be sterile. (Ibid., Sec. XXXI, item I.)
