Young Karl Mauro talks about COMEERJ and its importance

This week’s editorial, "How we face criticism," exposes to the reader the position we consider most appropriate for our relationship with those who read this magazine.

One of the highlights of the week is the interview given to our collaborator Marcus Braga by the young colleague Karl Mauro, from Petrópolis, RJ, an employee of the Municipal Spiritist Union of Petrópolis, where he has been working for some time on the coordination of local and regional gatherings of young spiritists. In the interview, the central theme is the COMEERJ, a traditional event which takes place annually in various centers, bringing together the young spiritists from the state of Rio

Another highlight of this issue is the special article entitled "Recent scientific evidences about the existence of life after death", authored by Mado Martinez and Elaine Cristina Vieira, researchers rooted respectively in the Spanish cities of Alicante and Barcelona.

In exhibition in theaters across Brazil since mid-September, you can still watch the film "And life goes on ...", an adaptation of the book of the same name written by André Luiz, directed and written by Paulo Figueiredo, as shown in the special report that is part of this issue and one of its highlights.

This week completes the study of the book "Evolution in Two Worlds" by André Luiz, which has been published in this journal since the edition #237. Next week starts the study of the book "Sex and Destiny," also written by André Luiz.

The grand finale of The Greatest Brazilian of All Times occurred Wednesday night, October 3rd, at the headquarters of the SBT, in São Paulo. With the voting completed, journalist Carlos Nascimento announced Chico Xavier as the winner of the competition, with 71.4% of the votes provided over the Internet and via SMS. Congratulations to the late medium, not only for the recognition of the Brazilian people, but for everything he did on behalf of all of us who owe him so much.
