The premonitions of
Astrology in light of the
spiritist doctrine
This week’s editorial,
How the evolution of planets
occurs, reminds us that
the evolution of a planet -
whether in the intellectual
arena, or in the moral arena
- is a direct consequence of
the individual progress of
those who inhabit it.
One of the highlights of
this edition is the
interview given by Lucas de
Pádua Mendes Gonçalves, from
Goiânia (GO), director of
communications for the Goiás
Spiritist Federation and
member of the NAVE -
Spiritist Audiovisual
Center. In the interview,
among other things, he talks
about the challenges and
achievements already made by
the Spiritist Film and Video
Show of Goiânia, which he
coordinates.
Another highlight of this
edition is the special
article titled Astrology:
Can you believe in its
premonitions?, authored
by our colleague Paulo da
Silva Neto Sobrinho, who
analyzes astrological
predictions in light of the
spiritist teachings.
Divaldo Franco continues the
cycle of conferences that he
has been performing in
Europe, as shown in the
story by Paulo Salerno which
is part of this edition and
is one of its highlights.

On Tuesday, June 5th,
we registered another
anniversary of the
foundation of the USE –
Union of Spiritist Societies
in the State of São Paulo,
created in 1947 on the
occasion of the first
Statewide Spiritist
Congress.
At that time, there were
four noteworhty spiritist
institutions in São Paulo:
Spiritist Synagogue New
Jerusalem, Federal Spiritist
Union of São Paulo,
Spiritist Federation of São
Paulo and Spiritist League
of São Paulo, which all came
together and gave birth to
the Spiritist Social Union
which later was renamed the
Union of Spiritist Societies
in the State of Sao Paulo.
