Would Kardec use Facebook?

This week’s editorial,” Kardec and social networks”, examines a curious question asked by the daughter of one of our employees: - If Kardec were alive today, would he use Facebook or MySpace?

In an interview with our colleague Orson Peter Carrara, journalist Fátima Farias, from João Pessoa, capital of Paraíba, talks about the spiritist movement in her state and its activities in the area of dissemination of spiritism.

Spiritist since 1994 and author of "Meeting with Consciousness - dialogue of unity with diversity", she is part of the team leading the Paraíba Spirit Federation, where she holds the position of Media Advisor and deputy director of the Department of  Doctrinal Dissemination. The interview is one of the highlights of the week.

Another highlight is the conclusion of the special article “From atom to the angel: the evolution of intelligent principle”, authored by our colleague  Ricardo Baesso de Oliveira, from Juiz de Fora, MG. The first part of the article was published in our last edition.

The 15th State Congress of Spiritism promoted by USE (Union of Spiritist Societies in the State of São Paulo), took place during the period April 28th to May 1st, in Franca-SP, as shown in the story by Martha Rios Guimarães which is also one of the highlights of this edition.

On this day - May 13th - Elizabeth D'Esperance, whose real name was Elizabeth Hope,  was born in 1849 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She distinguished herself as one of the most important mediums of physical effects of all time.
