The Links between suicide
and anencephaly

This week’s editorial, Chico Xavier and the children who are born maimed, focuses on the causes that give rise to the difficulties involving the reincarnation of special children and anencephalic.

Our interviewed this week is the colleague Liszt Rangel de Miranda Coelho, from Recife-PE, journalist and student of psychology, paixonate about Ancient and Medieval History. A spiritist lecturer for the past 18 years, with seven books published, he actively collaborated in the founding and maintenance of some spiritist centers in Olinda and Recife, including the Spiritist Group Júlio César and the Spiritist League of Pernambuco. This inteview, granted to our collaborator Orson Peter Carrara, is one of the highlights of this edition.

Another highlight is the special article "Suicide and abortion of anencephalic", written by our collaborator Luiz Carlos Formiga, from Rio de Janeiro-RJ. In his article, the author talks about the links between suicidal behavior and cases of anencephaly.

One more edition of the Days of Spiritist Culture was held on April 21st and 22nd in Obidos, Portugal, that had as its general theme the phrase "Live beyond the crisis." The report on the event, authored by Mário Correia, is one of the highlights of this edition.

On this day - April 29th - Amalia Domingo Soler disincarnated in Barcelona, Spain. The fact occurred in 1909. Born in Seville, where she was born on November 10th, 1835, Amalia was one of the exponents of the Spanish spiritist movement, in which she served as promoter, writer and activist. It is of her writing the book "Memories of Padre Germano," dictated by Padre Germano, her spiritual guide.

Since the last issue, this magazine has a new collaborator in the area of translations. It is the colleague Ricardo Morante, based in Lima, Peru, to whom we take this opportunity to send him our welcome.
