How Spiritists behaved in the anencephalic issue

This week’s editorial “The view of the Supreme Court on abortion of anencephalics”   comments the decision made on April 12th by the Supreme Court regarding abortion in cases of anencephaly.

Kéops Vasconcelos, a judge living in Campina Grande-PB, is interviewed this week. Spiritist since 1996, the colleague is associated  in the spiritist movement, to NEDE - Center for the Study of the Spiritist Doctrine as its Executive Director, to AME-CG - Municipal Spiritist Association of Campina Grande-PB as its Deputy Director, and ABRAME - Brazilian Association of Spiritist Magistrates as the Sectional Delegate in Paraíba, in addition to integrating the Legislative Tracking Committee of the Brazilian Spiritist Federation.

In the interview, which is one of the highlights of this edition, the colleague weaves expressive considerations about the Law and its connections with the Gospel, Spiritism and the progress of mankind.

Another highlight of the week is the conclusion of the Special "Christian Conduct", written by our collaborator Alessandro Viana Vieira de Paula. The article was split into two parts. The first part was published in the previous edition.

The decision of the Supreme Court on the issue of anencephalic is, incredible as it may seem, attributed by some colleagues to the omission of the spiritists of Brazil, an absurd and unfair criticism, as shown in another special article in this issue and is one of his highlights.

On this day - April 22th - Florence Cook passed away in 1904, the English medium that became known through the studies of William Crookes on the subject materialization of spirits. Born in 1856, Florence Cook was the medium through which occurred the famous incarnations of the Spirit of Katie King.
