Letter to the reader Portuguese Spanish

Do we need to talk about death?

According to Claudia Gelernter, “yes”, as shown in her special article "Spiritists, we need to talk about death," which was divided into two parts.
The conclusion of the article will be published in our next issue. The article is one of the highlights of this edition.

This week’s editorial, Fatality and its nuances, discusses one issue that remains a mystery to many people, even among spiritists, although it was the subject of clear explanations in the first book by Allan Kardec.

Another highlight of this edition is the interview given by our colleague Cleusa Conceição Terres Schuch to our collaborator and publisher Antonio Nascimento. Master in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, president of the Municipal Union of Spiritist of Guaíba-RS, and coordinator of the ESDE sector in the Doctrinal Department of the FERGS, Cleusa Schuch talks in the interview about her experiences and ideas pertaining to the spiritist doctrine and spiritist movement in her state.

The CARI - Centre for Support of Child Recovery Dr. Hugo Dehé, in Londrina-PR, has for the past 12 years helped babies at risk. It is an activity not usually linked to a spiritist institution, as shown in the story by Marcel Battaglia, another highlight of this edition.

*

On this date - January 15th - was launched in 1861 in Paris, France, the first edition of The Mediums' Book, by Allan Kardec, a work that is considered the second of the so called the Pentateuch of Kardec, which began in 1857 with the publication of The Spirits’ Book.
