264. The true affection has nothing carnal, but when a spirit is attached to a person, not always does it for love, there may be a case in memory and passions. (L.E., 485)

265. The good spirits are all the good that can and are happy with our joys. They fret about our ills, when they do not endure with resignation, because then these evils will not produce results. It's like the patient who rejects the bitter medicine designed to cure him. (L.E., 486)

266. The selfishness and hardness of heart, that everything comes from, is kind of evil that makes most spirits afflict us. They laugh at all these imaginary evils that spring from pride and ambition, and rejoice with those who aim to shorten our time of trial. (L.E., 487)

267. Knowing that life is transitory body, and the tribulations that accompany it are means to lead to a better state, spirits grieve more for moral causes that can distance ourselves from this state, than for physical ailments, which are only passengers . The Spirit who sees life in the throes of a means of payment for us, it is considered as the momentary crisis that should save the patient. He feels compassion for our sufferings and sympathize with the sufferings of a friend, but seeing things from a fair point, enjoy them differently, and while good rebuild our courage, in the interest of our future, others tempt us to despair, trying to commit ourselves. (L.E., 487, Kardec comment)

268. Our relatives and friends who died before us we have more sympathy for the spirits that we are strangers and often protect us as Spirit, according to his power. Moreover, they are very sensitive to retain his affection for them, forgetting, however, those who forget. (L.E., 488)

269. The Spirit shield is required to watch over us, because he has accepted this task, but he can choose the beings that you are friendly. For some, it is a pleasure, for others, a task or duty. Of course, connecting to a person, he does not waive the protection of other individuals, but does so more generally. (L.E., 493 and 493-A)

270. It often happens that certain spirits leave his position to fulfill several missions, but then are replaced. (L.E., 494)

271. To those who think that it is impossible to truly high spirits remain restricted to a task so laborious, and every moment, we say that they influence our souls despite being a million miles away: for them, the space does not exist, and even living in another world, they retain their connection with us. (...) Each guardian angel has protected her and watches over him as a father watches over the child, is happy when she sees him on track, cry when their advice is ignored. (L.E., 495)

272. Good spirits never do evil, let him do it to take place, and then blame the luck of the misfortunes that oppress us, while the fault is ours. (L.E., 496)

273. There is a union of evil spirits, to counteract the action of the good, but if you want protected, give you all strength to his good spirit. (L.E., 497)

274. It is but weakness, laziness or pride of the man who gives strength to evil spirits. (L.E., 498)

275. The Spirit is not constantly guard with his protégé, as there are circumstances in which its presence is not required. (L.E., 499)

276. When the Spirit can be guided by himself, he has no more need of a guardian angel, but this does not happen on Earth. (L.E., 500)

277. The action of the spirits who wish us well is always regulated so as to leave us free will, because if we did not have responsibility, not adiantaríamos in the path that should lead us to God. (L.E., 501)

278. The spirit protector feels happy when he sees his care crowned with success, for it is a triumph, triumphs as a tutor with the success of his disciple. ((L.E., 502)

279. The Spirit guard suffers from the mistakes of his protege, and regrets, but this affliction has nothing of earthly anxieties of fatherhood, because he knows that no remedy for evil, and what was not done today, tomorrow will be done. (L.E., 503)

280. When we are in spirit life, we recognize our spirit-guardian, as they often knew it before this existence. (L.E., 506)

281. Every man, even wild, has a spirit that watches over him, but the missions are related to its object. Ye shall not give to a child who learns to read a philosophy professor. The progress of the Holy Spirit follows the family protected. (L.E., 509)

282. It is true that evil spirits seek to divert man from the track, when they find the time, but when one connects to an individual does for himself, why wait to be heard, then there is the struggle between good and bad, and win the one whose domain is the man to deliver. (L.E., 511)

283. Each man has always sympathetic spirits, higher or lower, you are interested and devoted affection for him, as there are also those who assist him in evil. (L.E., 512)

284. Some people have an effect on others, a kind of fascination which seems inevitable. When this happens to evil, are evil spirits that they serve other evil spirits, the better to subdue their victims. God can enable you to try us. (L.E., 515)

285. Some spirits are linked to members of one family, who live together and are united by affection, but do not believe in protecting spirits of pride of race. (L.E., 517)

286. Spirits will preferably where their peers are, because in these places can be comfortable and safer to be heard. The man attracts the spirits because of his tendencies, whether or not constituting a collective whole, as a society, a city or a people. There is, therefore, societies, cities and people who are assisted by spirits higher or lower, according to his character and the passions that dominate them. (L.E., 518)

287. Imperfect spirits depart from that repel, and it follows that the moral improvement of a collective whole, as individuals, tends to ward off evil spirits and attract good, that arouse and maintain the feeling of well among the masses, the same way that others can inflate them the evil passions. (L.E., 518)

288. Companies, cities and nations have special protective spirits, as they march toward a common goal and need an upward direction. (L.E., 519)

Answers to Questions

A. It is only moral affection that spirits vote to people?

No. The true affection has nothing carnal, but when a spirit is attached to a person, does not always just for affection. In the estimates that this person inspires you may join reminiscent of human passions. (The Spirit's Book, questions 484 and 485.)

B. Among the ills that affect us, what are the most afflicting spirit protectors?

Good spirits do all the good they can and feel fortunate with our joys. Grieve with our ills when they do not endure with resignation, because then we get no benefit from them, resembling us in such cases, the patient who rejects the bitter brew that's healing. The more the evils that are afflicting our selfishness and hardness of our hearts, which runs everything else but laugh at all these imaginary evils that spring from pride and greed and rejoice with those that result in the short time of our evidence. (Ibid., 486 and 487 questions.)

C. There are spirits who attach themselves to an individual, in particular, to protect it? What is your mission and how they call themselves?

Yes This is the spiritual brother, we call the good spirit or good genius, whose mission is like a father to their children: to guide his protégé on the path of good, help him with his advice, comfort him in his afflictions, his spirits rise in life's trials. (Ibid., questions 489, 491, 492 and 493.)

D. The spiritual protector can leave the protected, if this proves rebellious to his warnings?

He walks away when he sees that their advice is worthless and that is stronger in his protégé, the decision to submit to the influence of inferior spirits. But it leaves him completely and always heard. It is then the man who stops his ears. The back protector since this call. (Ibid., questions 495, 497, 498, 499, 500, 501 and 503.)

E. We can say that according to the Spirit, Holy Family, Holy Guardian Angel and friendly mean the same thing?

No. The Holy Family is the first friend's house. The spirit protector, guardian angel or genius is good which has the mission to accompany the man in life and help you progress. It is always of a higher nature, in relation to protected. The sympathetic spirits are those who are attracted to our side by particular affections and also by a certain similarity in tastes and feelings, both for good and for evil. (Ibid., questions 514, 490, 507 and 520.)
