B. What is sleepwalking, and what is the cause of clairvoyance somnambulist?

C. What Spiritualism teaches about the rapture?

D. What is the phenomenon called second sight, also known as double sight?

E. Spirits can see what we do? They can also read our minds?

Text for reading

228. In lethargy and catalepsy, the Spirit is conscious but can not communicate. It is the senses of the soul that he sees and hears what is happening around him. (L.E., 422)

229. In those states, he can not communicate because the state of the material body is opposed to this. This fact proves that there is something beyond the human body because the body is not functioning and the Spirit continues to act. (L.E., 422-A)

230. In the lethargy, the body isn't dead because there are functions that continue to be held: the vitality is latent, as in chrysalis, but not extinguished. But the Spirit is linked to the body, while he lives. Once the bonds broken by the actual death and the breakdown of the organs, the separation is complete and the Spirit does not come back. When a man apparently dead back to life, is that the death was not consummated. (L.E., 423)

231. It is possible to renew the bonds about to break up and return to life a being who, without it he would die. This happens frequently and the magnetism is in such cases often a powerful way because it gives the body the vital fluid that was lacking and insufficient to entertain the functioning of organs. (L.E., 424)

232. The lethargy and catalepsy have the same principle, which is the momentary loss of sensation and movement. In the suspension of vital forces is generally giving the body all the appearances of death. In another, it is located and may affect only one part of the body. The lethargy is always natural; catalepsy is sometimes spontaneous, but can be artificially induced and broken by the magnetic action. (L.E., 424, Kardec comment)

233. That is the nature of the magnetic fluid, vital fluid, electricity on behaving like animals, which are modifications of the universal fluid. (L.E., 427)

234. There are opaque bodies, but to your gross organs. The article offers no obstacles to the Spirit, which crosses freely. That's why the sleepwalker can see through opaque bodies considered. (L.E., 429)

235. It is not given the imperfect spirits all to see and know everything, in addition, when connected to matter, do not enjoy all the faculties of the Spirit. God gave man the faculty of clairvoyance, somnambulism with a useful purpose and serious, not to learn what he should not know. That's why sleepwalkers can not see everything. (L.E., 430)

236. The sleepwalker may have more knowledge than you recognize in this existence, only they are asleep. Entering the state they call a crisis, he remembers, but always very incomplete. He knows other things, but can not tell where it comes from that knowledge. Experience also shows that sleepwalkers receive warnings and instructions from other spirits, which they supply their inadequacy. That is the reason why, in somnambulism, say things above their apparent ability. (L.E., 431)

237. The development of clairvoyance somnambulistic depends on the physical organization and the nature of the incarnate spirit. There are provisions that allow the Spirit physical release is more or less easily from the field. (L.E., 433)

238. The skills that enjoys the sleepwalker are similar to the disembodied spirit, but it is necessary to take into account the influence of matter that he is still on. (L.E., 434)

239. Most sleepwalkers can see other spirits very well, it depends on the degree and nature of each lucidity. But sometimes they do not understand the fact and take for corporeal beings. The same effect is produced at the time of death, among those who still feel they live. Nothing around them seem changed, spirits appear to them to have bodies like ours, and they take the appearance of their own bodies and real bodies. (L.E., 435)

240. In remote viewing, is the soul that sees, not the body. The sensations of heat or cold that she then experiences stem from the fact that, having left full body remains attached to it, the bond that unites them, and that bond is the driver of sensations. (L.E., 436 and 437)

241. The use of the sleepwalker does your college has a strong influence in the state of his spirit after death, as with good or bad use of all the faculties that God gave to man. (L.E., 438)

242. The ecstatic may be wrong very often, especially when he wants to penetrate what must remain a mystery to man, because then he abandons himself to his own ideas and becomes the plaything of deceiving spirits, who take advantage of their enthusiasm for the dazzle. (L.E., 444)

243. Anyone who studies the phenomena of somnambulism and ecstasy, in good faith and without precautions, can not be materialist or atheist. (L.E., 446)

244. The disease, proximity to a danger, a great shock may develop second sight. The body is sometimes a particular state, which allows the Spirit to see what you can not see with the eyes of the body. (L.E., 452)

245. People do not always endowed with second sight are aware of it. That is, for them, something entirely natural, and many of these people believe that if everyone observe in this sense, perceive to be like them. (L.E., 453)

246. The second view can, in certain cases, to the foreknowledge of things and even hunches, because there are many degrees of this option and the same individual can have any degree or no more than a few. (L.E., 454-A)

247. The phenomena of natural somnambulism occur spontaneously and are independent of any known external cause. The state designated by the name of magnetic somnambulism is no different from natural somnambulism, but because it is caused, while the other is spontaneous. (L.E., 455)

248. The causes of the magnetic somnambulism and clairvoyance of natural somnambulism are the same: an attribute of the soul. The sleepwalker see everywhere that can carry your soul is, whatever the distance. (L.E., 455)

249. In the state of detachment that is the Spirit of the sleepwalker, he goes in easier communication with other spirits, embodied or not. This communication is established by contact of the fluids that make up the transmission and serve perispirit thought, as the electricity wire. (L.E., 455)

250. Ecstasy is a state in which the independence between the soul and the body manifests itself more sensitive. In the dream and sleepwalking, the soul wanders through the worlds land, in ecstasy, she enters an unfamiliar world of the ethereal spirits with which it comes into communication, but without power exceeds certain limits. (L.E., 455)

251. The emancipation of the soul manifests itself sometimes in the waking state and produces the phenomenon known by the name of the second view, which gives those who possess the ability to see, hear and feel beyond the limits of our senses. It appears that the organs of vision are unrelated to the phenomenon, to check that the view persists even with eyes closed. (L.E., 455)

Answers to questions

A. As explained in the light of Spiritism, the cases of catalepsy and lethargy?

The lethargy and catalepsy are derived from the temporary loss of sensation and movement, for a physiological cause still unexplained. In the suspension of vital forces is general and gives the body all the appearances of death, on the other, the suspension is located and can reach a more or less extensive part of the body, so as to allow the intelligence manifest freely, the that makes it unmistakable to death. The lethargy is always natural; catalepsy is sometimes magnetic. (The Spirit's Book questions 422 to 424.)

B. What is sleepwalking, and what is the cause of clairvoyance somnambulist?

The natural somnambulism, is a state of independence of spirit, more complete than in the dream state in which they acquire greater range capabilities. That is what comes somnambulistic clairvoyance. The soul then have perceptions that do not have the dream and can therefore see what happens at a distance. When producing the facts of somnambulism, that the Spirit is, concerned with one thing or another, applies to an action, whose implementation needs to use his body. Serve this then, serves as a desk or other material object in the phenomenon of the physical manifestations, or even the usage of the medium's hand in a written statement. (Ibid., questions 425, 426, 428 and 432.)

C. What Spiritualism teaches about the rapture?

According to Spiritism, ecstasy is a more accurate sleepwalking. The soul of the ecstatic is still more independent. The Spirit of ecstatic other worlds can penetrate and understand the happiness of those who inhabit them, from which he springs the desire to remain there. But there are worlds inaccessible to the spirits who are not yet very clean. (Ibid., questions 439, 440, 441, 442 and 443.)

D. What is the phenomenon called second sight, also known as double sight?

What is called second sight is the result of liberation of the Spirit, without which the body is asleep. The second-sight or the double view is the view of the soul. (Ibid., questions 447, 448, 449, 450 and 450-A.)

E. Spirits can see what we do? They can also read our minds?

Yes they can see what we do, because that constantly surround us. Each, however, sees only what we pay attention, not minding what he is indifferent. They can also meet our most secret thoughts. Neither actions nor thoughts can hide them. When we think we're alone and hidden, it is common to have with us a multitude of spirits who are watching us. (Ibid., questions 456, 457, 457-A and 458.)
