A chat with Armando
Falconi Filho

This week’s editorial, “Hunger in Africa”, comments the decision by the 52 countries comprising the African Union, to help Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya, three suffering nations devastated by drought.

Our interview of the week is with the colleague Armando Falconi Filho, from Juiz de Fora-MG, who last month launched his book Loss of Loved Ones, published by EME.

The book, which has enjoyed great success, is based on the many years of Spiritist Doctrine work by Armando Falconi, and especially on his monthly experiments carried out for seven years at a meeting that focuses above all on death, as per explanations he detailed in the interview, which is one of the features of this edition.

Another feature of this edition is the special article Audiobooks: a rescue of the art of reading, written by Tânia Regina Reato, which highlights the importance of audio books for the people who suffer with limited sight.

The III Seminar of the AME ABC was held on September 10th in São Bernardo do Campo, with the theme "Scientific evidence of the spiritual life", as shown in the report by Giovana Campos, which is also one of the features of the week.

Yesterday, September 17th, was the anniversary of the founding of the Family Group of Spiritism, the first Spiritist Society to appear in Brazil. Located in Salvador, Bahia, the Group was founded in 1865 by the pioneer spiritist Luís Olímpio Teles de Menezes.
