In focus in this issue the doctrine of reincarnation

“The aims of our passing through the physical world” – this
is the title of the editorial this week, that reminds us of a teaching given by Léon Denis, in which the solution to the problems afflicting this world pass through an educational process, that  explains the motive of man’s presence and passing on the Earth.

Lucio Flavio Haygert Munhoz, from São Borja-RS, is interviewed in this week’s issue. In the interview, which is one of the highlights of the edition, our fellow spiritist makes a brief report on the spiritists activities carried out in “gaucha” city, from where two Brazilian Presidents were born, both Getulio Vargas and João Goulart.

Another highlight is the Special authoring of Guaraci Lima Silveira, a fellow from Juiz de Fora-MG, who also talks on the subject of reincarnation. In his article, he asserts that in the silences of the monasteries, in the closed walls of secret doctrines and/ or secretive hidden places, where transcendental studies were undertaken, reincarnation had always been the reference point for understanding the various natural laws.

The “Audioteca Sal e Luz “ is to make available to the public over 2,700 books in audio, in order to make reading available especially for people who are visually impaired and for those who have difficulty in reading texts of fine print. The story that describes  the work of the “Audioteca” is, also, one of the highlights of this issue.

On the same day as today, 6th February (1915) –  Joaquim Carlos Travassos died. He was a doctor, politician and one of the pioneers in Brazil's Spiritism, to whom we owe the first translation performed in that country of 4 books of Allan Kardec, that were integrated and called the Pentateuch Kardequiano.
