Why “The Astral city” is so important to us

The movie “The Astral City” has been based on the novel by Chico Xavier, which has come out in early 1944, when Chico Xavier had not yet completed 34 years and was not that famous in Brazil. This is the theme of this week’s editorial entitled “The lessons brought by the book The Astral City”

One of the highlights of this edition is the interview conceded by our colleague Maria Lucia Resende Dias Faria, president of the Spiritist Federation of Espirito Santo, to our colleague Orson Peter Carrara. During the interview Maria speaks about the spiritist activities developed in the Espirito Santo state and the challenges and achievements resulting of her role.

Another highlight of this edition is the second part of the Special from Marcos Paulo de Oliveira Santos, about the consumption of meat by the human creatures and the risks it generates.

The Astral city movie, released in the Brazilian cinema screens on the 03rd of September, has achieved all expectations and has been a great success, as shown in a special report which is part of this edition.

It begins in this edition the study of another classic of Spiritism - Transport Phenomena – by Ernesto Bozzano, which will be presented in this magazine over nine editions and is based on the translation of Francis Klörs Werneck, published by FEESP.
