It has been 120 years since the publication of the book Posthumous Works

The Spiritist Doctrine includes the forgiveness of trespasses, the indulgence for the imperfections of others and kindness to everyone; these virtues form the concept of charity, as it was understood by Jesus. This is the theme of this week’s editorial entitled Forgiveness is healthy. 

One of the highlights of the week is the interview conceded by our confrere Lúcia Borges Palmgren, from Copenhagen, to the journalist Katia Fabiana Fernandes. Lúcia has been living in Denmark for the past 10 years and during this interview she speaks about various topics as well as about the spiritist movement in the mentioned country. 

Another highlight is the Special from Orson Peter Carrara about the book Posthumous Works, which was published 21 years after the passing of Kardec, in 1890. The book consists of two parts. At first, studies of Kardec on exciting topics and the second part intimate notes, details about the private life of the Encoder, communications of spirits directly related to the task of the Spiritist Codification and the preciousness of the texts Project 1868, Constitution of Spiritism and Spiritist Creed. 

Between the 17th and 24th of July it was held the 59th Spiritist Week of Astolfo Dutra (MG), an event sponsored by the Spiritist Foundation Abel Gomes, which this year has paid tribute to the Centenary of Birth of Chico Xavier, as shown in this special report which is part of this edition and is one of the highlights of this week.

145 years ago, on the 01st August, it has been published the first edition of the book Heaven and Hell, or Divine Justice According to Spiritism, by Allan Kardec. It was the year of 1865 and the Spiritist Doctrine was still merely in its eighth year of life!
