How the Spiritist teachings
are seen in Finland

The earthquake that destroyed the capital of Haiti last 12th, considered the severest tragedy in last 60 years of UN history, presented shocking numbers, being impressive by the quantity of families that have lost literally everything, on the top of thousands of deaths, as highlighted in this week’s editorial, entitled The human impotence before natural disasters.

Among the highlights in this edition, we call the reader’s attention to the interview conceded to the journalist Katia Fabiana Fernandes by the confrere Pekka Olavi Kaarakainen, from Finland, in which the confrere talks about his start in Spiritism, telling how Finlanders face the Spiritual matter and says about his will to start seeding and announce the Spiritist teachings in his homeland.

Another highlight this week is the special report by Washington Luiz N. Fernandes, from São Paulo, regarding the mediumistc work of Divaldo P. Franco, this time focusing on text psychographed by the reknowned medium that have the authorship of Spirits who were awarded with a Nobel Prize in Literacture in life.

Disincarnated last December at the age of 95, Ms. Aparecida Conceição Ferreira, founder of the Home of Charity – Wild Fire Hospital (Hospital do Fogo Selvagem), former Hospital of Pemphigus (Hospital do Pênfigo), in Uberaba (state of Minas Gerais), as shows the special report that integrates this edition and is also a highlight.

Yesterday, January 30th, it was celebrated one more anniversary of desincarnation of Cairbar de Souza Schutel, fairly considered by many ones as being the number 1 Spiritist in Brazil. Founder of the Spiritist Group Amantes da Pobreza (Lovers of Poverty), currently Spiritist Center O Clarim, part of the newspaper "O Clarim", and the International Magazine of Spiritism, Cairbar wrote various works, such as Espiritismo para crianças (Spiritism for Children), Médiuns e Mediunidade (Mediums and Mediumship), Parábolas e Ensinos de Jesus (Parables and Teachings of Jesus), O Espírito do Cristianismo (The Christianism’s Spirit), A Vida no Outro Mundo (Life in the other world) e Vida e Atos dos Apóstolos (Life and Acts of the Apostles).
