The unreason has gained space within the Spiritist circle and has worried all of us

A text, entitled “Samples of unreason”, has been circulating on the Internet, showing through various examples how unvigilance and absence of good sense have facilitated foolishnesses in the name of Spiritism in Brazil. This is the subject covered by this week’s editorial, entitled The unreason and its antidote.

The main highlight is this issue is the interview that our confrere Marina Odette Letelier Azócar, president of the Spiritist Studies Center Buena Nueva, from Santiago, conceded to the journalist Katia Fabiana Fernandes. In the interview, she talks about the Spiritist Movement in Chile and explains how the Spiritist principles are seen by the Chilean society, which has a traditional Catholic background.

Another headline this week is the special report by Angélica Reis about free-will and the reincarnatory programming, in which she affirms, supported by many Spiritist researchers, that change doesn’t exist and that life is causal, not casual.

It was on 22nd August 1957 that Leopoldo Machado desincarnated. He was one of the greatest divulgators of Spiritism in Brazil, as Marcelo Borela de Oliveira shows in a special report, which also constitutes a headline in this issue.

With this edition, we start the study of the classic Animic Evolution, by Gabriel Delanne, which has been divided in 17 parts, based on the translation by Manoel Quintão – 8th edition, published by FEB (Brazilian Spiritist Federation).
