Letter to the reader Portuguese Spanish

IstoÉ magazine brings back the theme Spiritism and the psychographed letters

On February 9th a young Brazilian woman has or may have suffered physical aggression in Dübendorf, Switzerland, a small town near Zurich. The attack would have been motivated by intolerance to immigrants, who are a significant percentage of population in that country.
On February 20th, Brazilian newspapers published Paula's confession  confirming  that she faked both the pregnancy and the aggression, facts that never happened, according to this edition editorial, entitled “Hostility to foreigners and its cause”.

In this edition, we call the reader’s attention to the interview that our confrere from Oslo, Norway, Cristina Latini, has conceded to Katia Fabiana Fernandes, from London. In the interview, the confrere explains how the Spiritism has overcome barriers of misconception in Norway, presents her point of view about important topics related to the Spiritist Doctrine and emphasizes the importance of the Spiritist knowledge throughout her evolving journey.

Another headline this week is the article entitled “Freud on the divan”, by Paulo da Silva Neto. The author warns the ones trying to find on Freud a support to fight Spiritism and recommends that they should look for a different source, since this one has been demolished day by day. Besides, it is far out of date.

IstoÉ magazine, in its edition number 11 from February, has dedicated a special attention to the theme mediumship on an article by Suzane Frutuoso which shows how so many people have been helped by psychographed messages sent by disincarnated relatives. Among these people are famous Brazilian athletes and artists, such as Tande, Magic Paula, Nicette Bruno, Ana Rosa and Scheila Carvalho. A summary of this article constitutes of one the headlines of this edition.

This number concludes the methodic study of the Revue Spirite de 1862 which will be followed by the study Revue Spirite de 1863 from the next edition on.
