Euthanasia before
Italian court

Euthanasia has been discussed again in Europe, this time in Italy, where the Justice Court of Last Instance has allowed a young woman who has been in coma to stop being fed artificially. Until February 3rd, the judicial sentence had not been executed and the Italian government was inclined to make difficult its execution, as shown in this edition editorial, entitled “Eluana Englaro case and the Italian Court of Justice”.

Another headline of this edition calls the reader’s attention to the interview conceded by   Aylton Guido Coimbra Paiva, our collaborator from Lins city, Sao Paulo state, to the editor Orson Peter Carrara. In the interview, Aylton talks about his most recent book, “Stories and Messages from the Spiritual World”, which brings psycographed messages by different spirits, the majority of them are very well-know within the Spiritist Movement. The book presents messages by Meimei, Cairbar Schutel, Maria Dolores, Hilário Silva and others.

This week, we also highlight the special article about Divaldo Franco’s psycographic mediumship by Washington L. N. Fernandes, from Sao Paulo city, who emphasizes many peculiarities of the work performed by this respected medium which had never occurred before with any other medium during 150 years of the Spiritism History.

This edition also gives details about the Course of Spiritist Educators for the Infancy, promoted by the USE (Union of the Spiritist Societies of Sao Paulo state), in the article by Martha Rios Guimarães, the magazine correspondent in Sao Paulo.

Next weekend, the 15th COMEL takes place in Londrina. It is an event that congregates the Londrina’s Spiritist youth during the Brazilian Carnival, from February 21st (Saturday) to February 24th (Tuesday), in the headquarter of the Lar Anália Franco de Londrina, Aeroporto District.
