Life on Earth and
its origin

On item 45 of The Spirits’ Book, Allan Kardec asked the High Spirits:

– Where were the organic elements before the formation of the earth?

The immortals answered: “They existed, so to say in the fluidic state, in space, in the midst of the spirits, or in other planets, awaiting the creation of the earth in order to begin a new existence on a new globe.”

This information can be found in this book, which is the most important of all Spiritist literature, in the subchapter “Production of Living Beings”.

In the beginning, teaches Spiritism, everything was chaos, the elements were in confusion. Later, things took their place little by little. There were, then, living beings suitable to the state of the globe. For this, Kardec asked such question.

We remember that the first edition of The Spirits’ Book dates April, 1857. It was more than 150 years ago. And what looked silly, a hollow explanation, with no possibility of being proved, is now accepted by Science, so – we emphasize once more – the Spiritist Doctrine is not a product of councils, not a work done by theologians, but it has its principles based on facts.

We know today that the answer given by the Spirits to item 45 is not, then, a theoretical explanation, but the revelation of a fact that, although not know by us incarnated ones, it was already, in the 19th century, known by the disincarnated ones.

About four years ago, the world press highlighted the following piece of news:

“Scientists found new evidence that the origin of Earth may be in particles and molecules brought by comets. The news comes from the University of Bremen, in Germany. They detected in a meteorite the presence of a diamino acid, a chemical compound that would make part of the material which originated life on Earth.”
