The little cloud that didn't want to be a cloud

Once upon a time there was a small cloud that formed in the sky. She was talkative and loved innovations. Everything was fine with her, but despite this, she often felt sad. It's just that she saw so many interesting things in the sky, that she thought it would be much better if she were something else, instead of a cloud.

- Being a cloud is very boring - she said - We don´t do too much. We just stand here.

Sometimes she would stretch and twist to form the shape of a bird, or an airplane. She had already tried to transform herself into a helicopter and even a rocket.

She also loved the stars. She often imitated their shape, but it was quite tiring to keep herself full of spikes. After a while, without being able to shine, she ended up giving up and returning to her natural, rounded, and fluffy shape.

One day she saw a kite and was enchanted. The kite was colorful and had a tail that swung back and forth.

Once again, she tried to transform herself and want to be what she wasn't. But, just like other times, it didn't work out and she ended up giving up.

The little cloud didn't know it, but little by little, without realizing it, she was being prepared by God for the mission He had given her. God does not create anything in vain. He always has a purpose for each person and each part of His creation.

The days passed and she grew up. The little cloud became a lady cloud, big and heavy.

One day the friendly wind appeared. He always came with something new, as he went to many places and met a lot of people. He was in a hurry and said to the cloud:

- Come on, come on, today is your big day! We are going to a place that really needs you.

The cloud didn't understand, but she liked adventures and let the wind carry her.

They went to a field where the plants were dry, and the heat was strong. Then, the wind gave her friend a tight hug and it started to rain.

The water that the cloud brought penetrated the earth and saved the plants. It also formed puddles where the little animals could quench their thirst. It purified and refreshed the air.

When the rain ended and the air was very humid, a beautiful rainbow formed in the sky.

From above, the cloud saw all of nature renewing itself and was very happy. She felt so good, that she thought nothing could be better than being a cloud and being able to do all that.

After that day, she never complained again, nor did she want to be different.

When she saw other interesting things, she thought that she was interesting too and that it was great to be just like she was.
