Theme: The use of wealth
Wealth and its companions
In a kingdom very close to here, there was a character
called Wealth.

She was beautiful, extravagant, luxurious,
engaging... she caught a lot of attention and
many
|
|
people wanted to have her around. |
|
In fact, the most beloved character of all in
that kingdom was Happiness. Everyone wanted her
company, but Happiness was seen very rarely. She
was delicate, sensitive,
|
 |
|
didn't frequent any environment because she
didn't like wrong things. |
As Wealth was also fun, some people thought that she
could be a friend of Happiness and believed that,
calling one, the other would come too. But that didn't
always happen.
In fact, most of the times, what happened was that
Wealth attracted the presence of Pride, rather than
Happiness. Pride adored Wealth and always tried to get
in where she was.
But the Pride was terrible! He was one of the biggest
troublemakers in that kingdom.
When he got together with his best friend, Selfishness,
they did so many bad things, that afterwards it took a
lot of work to fix everything.
Often, when Wealth entered someone's house, without much
delay, Pride would ring the bell, wishing to enter too.
If the person allowed it, then Selfishness would also
enter and the three of them, inside, would start a wild
party, which always ended badly.
Most people didn't know well these characters that
inhabited that kingdom. They didn't quite understand how
they affected their lives. Therefore, they accepted the
presence of Pride and Selfishness, for a while, until
they realized that they were not good company for
anyone.
Wealth wasn't bad, it was just very influential. She
only messed things up when she was encouraged by those
two troublemakers.
In fact, Wealth was sometimes very good. She could help,
build, educate, save, relieve, and do amazing things.
But, for that, she needed to be in the company of other
characters, who were very friendly with each other, Love
and Humility.
Love and Humility were the opposite of Pride and
Selfishness. If those last ones only knew how to get in
the way, the first ones always did good.
When a person received Wealth in his house and managed
to close the door to Pride and Selfishness, who arrived
at that house, right after were Love and Humility and
the three of them, inside, began to make so many
beautiful things that after a while they attracted the
presence - do you know whose? - of Happiness!
Gradually, the people who already had Wealth began to
realize how things worked and everyone left Pride and
Selfishness far away and called their friends Love and
Humility to join her.
And so, Wealth always started to do good things and,
with Happiness always around, the whole kingdom became
very happy.
