In the second case, what will necessarily make the
planet disappear will occur in a long time, something
like a billion years, when the Sun is stronger and
causes the evaporation of the Earth's oceans, causing a
devastating greenhouse effect, transforming the planet
into a scorching hell, lethal to any known species of
life: a dead, lifeless planet.
Note: For my part, I do not believe in this second
hypothesis for the simple fact that man has absolutely
no real condition to evaluate the future, even more a
“future” like that: a billion years...
At the Rio+20 global meeting, in June/2012, in Rio de
Janeiro, Nobel Prize winners and other scientists
presented a statement demanding action from all
governments in order to start employing methods and
actions so that world development is sustainable — in
fact, sustainability is the buzzword, especially
among ecologists. Climate scholars point out that if
global warming continues at its current pace, a
planetary catastrophe will occur in the future.
The interesting thing is that there is another current
of similar thinkers stating that what can cause human
catastrophe is the opposite, that is, a new planetary
glaciation.
There is no doubt that man has been disrespecting nature
for decades. However, along with the indisputable need
to change the way in which human material needs are met,
it will also be better to take care of moral conduct,
with regard to respect for God and neighbor, as much as
possible, as Jesus taught and exemplified.
Mayan Calendar
The Mayan calendar is a system of distinct calendars and
almanacs used by the Mayan civilization of pre-Columbian
Meso America (Mexico and some Central American
countries) and by some modern Mayan communities in the
highlands of Guatemala.
Such calendars can be synchronized and linked, their
combinations giving rise to additional, longer cycles.
The foundations of the Mayan calendars are based on a
system that was in common use in the region, dating back
to at least BC.
Because of its linear nature, the long count could
be extended to refer to any date in the distant future
or past.
Considering that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012,
hundreds of predictions emerged that this would be the
year of the end of the world...
Regarding the Mayan Calendar, Divaldo Franco, the
renowned Brazilian medium, blessed spiritist exhibitor,
who has already given lectures on five continents, was
in 14 European countries from May 9 to June 14 of this
year (2012), as a guest from dozens of cities, in which
he exposed various themes, always from a spiritist
perspective.
In Belgium he gave a lecture on the “Planetary
Transition” (title of a book he psychographed,
spiritually authored by Manoel Philomeno de Miranda). In
response to various questions and requests, with the
security and competence that are peculiar to him, he
made judicious comments about “the end of the world”, or
the “extinction of earthly humanity”. He focused, in
particular, on some comments on the Mayan Calendar.
Some excerpts from the aforementioned conference, in
particular, on the Mayan Calendar:
The extinction of the planet Earth, reported at various
times throughout its history, the Mayan Calendar,
composed of cycles and the understanding of the Mayan
civilization that, according to scholars, inform that
the Mayans did not have the understanding of the
planet's extinction, but of the closure of one cycle,
entering another at the same time.
By the way, about the Mayan Calendar, which has been
extensively commented on in recent times, suggesting the
extinction of the planet Earth, Divaldo said that
according to serious studies there is no indication that
can say that the Earth will become extinct as many
imagine.
What there is, he said, is the change of a cycle, as the
Mayan Calendar is based on cycles, periods and eras. In
this year of 2012, a cycle is coming to an end, with the
beginning of another one gradually without any
interruption of continuity. He pointed out that what is
on the verge of extinction is the lower negative moral
world, giving way to lofty attitudes based on love.
For that, chosen spirits, morally prepared to help man
to make this transition, or coming from other Orbs, are
returning to Earth,
Spiritism
Spiritism says that the planet Earth, currently a world
of trials and expiations, in the future will become a
world of regeneration, inhabited by a happy humanity,
which respects the Laws of God.
- In
chap. III, no. 19, of The Gospel According to
Spiritism, by Allan Kardec, there is a record of
communication in 1862 by the Spirit Saint Augustine:
1 – “Earth is not a primitive world, but one of trials
and atonements.”
2 – “In the planetary whirlwind there are regenerating
worlds, transition between those of expiation and the
happy ones; there, there is already the dawn of
happiness; although suffering still exists, it is no
longer covered by the anguish of expiation: fewer
diseases, absence of slavery, misery and hunger,
education is for everyone and the priority is for
Evangelization in Christian morality”.
3 – “The Earth has already reached the stage where it
will be promoted (to a regenerated world)”. (!!!)
Everywhere Spiritism records that Protecting Spirits
have been saying that “the times have come”, confirming
the words of Saint Augustine:

Spirit of Truth, in The Gospel According to
Spiritism, chap. XX, item 5.
“God proceeds, at this moment, to take a census of His
faithful servants and has already marked with His finger
those whose devotion is only apparent, so that they do
not usurp the wages of the cheerful servants, for to
those who do not retreat from their tasks is that He
will entrust the most difficult posts to the great work
of regeneration.”1

Spirit, On the Way to Light (A Caminho da Luz), chap.

“The passing century will carry out the division of the
sheep from the great flock. A storm of bitterness will
sweep across the Earth. ... After the darkness there
will be a new dawn. Consoling lights will envelop the
whole orb regenerated in the baptism of suffering. ...
Let us not forget Jesus, whose infinite mercy, as
always, will be the immortal light of the future dawn,
made of peace, fraternity and redemption.
3. Still the Spirit Emmanuel, in The Reformer (O
Reformador), January/1940, FEB.
We can also advance that, in the spiritual planes
closest to Earth, nuclei devoted to good and truth are
organized, under the aegis of the Lord, in order to
prepare the expected evangelical mentality for the
future millennium after the great harvest in that the
orb will have to renew its characters.
Conclusion
When moral progress equals and even surpasses the
current great human material progress, it will certainly
promote the Earth to a world of regeneration, with
humanity starting a new cycle of evolution.
This will even mean “the end of the present
materialistic world”.
Perhaps the multiplied daily collective deaths that are
currently observed can be confirmation of the prophesied
predictions of scourges. Maybe...
The love and wisdom of God, granting us the charitable
government of the Master Jesus, signal that the Great
Shepherd takes care of his flock: us!
The emigration of Spirits, whether to better worlds or
to lower worlds, far from being punishment, even less
arbitrary attitude, contemplates action and reaction,
planting and harvesting - merit, in short -, all this
clearly established in the wise Law of Divine Justice.
Those who are exiled to lower worlds, as those of the
Adamic race were once on Earth, while they will bring
progress there, helping the humanities there, sooner or
later will change their behavior, understanding and
thanking the Father for the kindness in granting them
such a condition of individual progress. At that moment
they will be able to transfer again, only to a happier
life.
That said, whoever wants to know the address of the
future, or future reincarnations, consult and check the
infallible passport of conscience...
