Theme: Exercise of good

Playing of helping

Tiago and Bruno were brothers and spent the afternoons playing together. Sometimes Bruno who asked:

- Tiago, shall we play?

The brother accepted it:

- I'm the policeman and you're the bad guy. Watch out, Bruno, because I'm armed with that gun I got on my birthday.

The other day, it was Tiago who invented him:

- Shall we play of pirate? I will steal the treasure that you had buried on the island. Take your sword, warrior!

The games alternated and the boys kept proposing:

“Today I want to play the hero. You're going to be the villain, okay?”

"I will be good and with my laser gun I will shoot you, who will be bad guy."

“How about we play war? My army against yours.”

And so, they spent whole afternoons, training through games to be grown up people.

But they were never on the same side. It was always one against each other, competing and one wishing to be better than the other.

Because they were always playing “fighting”, the game often ended badly, with shouts, shoves and complaints.

One day, the boys were visited by Grandpa Emilio, who presented them with a very large box.

- Cool, grandpa! Thank you! What is inside it? - Said the boys, unwrapping the box cheerfully.

There were several toys, but different from the ones the brothers used to have. They served to treat injuries, put out a fire, rescue someone lost in the forest or isolated by a flood... There was no way to fight, shoot or compete... The only option was to cooperate to help someone in difficulty.

Grandpa Emilio followed the grandchildren's new games with hope and happiness.

Bruno and Tiago's afternoons became more peaceful, as the new games required them to exercise companionship, cooperation and solidarity. In their games, they healed the sick, solved problems, built cities and helped people.

Without realizing it, they played at being good men, fighting against evil, through love of neighbor.
